Pacific Drive Part 9 walkthrough: Learn how to take out snipers, artillery guns, and enemy patrols to complete secondary objectives.
Walkthrough
- 1Proceed east/northeast, keeping a separation of 20-30 yards between your men for effective crossfire.
- 2Snipe the first sniper on the first small mountain from a distance.
- 3Approach the southeast corner of the first small mountain and snipe the second sniper on the second small mountain.
- 4Be prepared for a stationed guard to the southeast; ensure your other men are positioned to handle this.
- 5Continue northeast around the southeast edge of the second mountain.
- 6On the eastern side, you will see the first rise of the large central mountain to the north.
- 7Be aware of a second sniper on top of the second small mountain facing east/northeast.
- 8Another sniper is halfway up the large mountain, facing west. Snipe both of these to secure your path.
- 9Proceed north-northeast, sticking to the middle of the field near bushes/rocks for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) from a bunker and sniper.
- 10Have your sniper take out the Type 99 Gunner near the artillery cannon.
- 11Use your stealth man to sneak around the west edge of the rocks, circle the log bunker from the rear, and score a silent kill to avoid alerting the sniper on the ridge.
- 12After dealing with the bunker, take out the sniper.
- 13Send a man up the ridge face-on towards the artillery gun. Take cover near the top and let the stationed guard and patrolling guard come to you.
- 14Kill the guards, then blow up the artillery gun.
- 15Rendezvous back at the log bunker on the plain below. Secondary Objective completed.
- 16Locate the next two artillery guns on the central mountain: one north-northwest and another at the easternmost point.
- 17Send a stealth man north, climbing the mountain side until he reaches the top near large boulders.
- 18Creep forward to a large boulder that offers good cover and an attack position on the first of these two guns.
- 19This gun is guarded by two men, with another patrolling to the east/northeast, and another farther off who will hear the commotion.
- 20If you have an SMG and grenades, chuck a grenade at the gun to take out the guards, then use SMG fire on any survivors.
- 21Stay low and on the western side of the boulder for flank protection from the patrolling men.
- 22Once the gun guards are dead, stay hidden and peek over until the patrolling guards get close enough to engage with SMG fire.
- 23Bring up your demo man to blow up the gun.
- 24If you ran out of grenades, Japanese grenades are available nearby, along with weaponry from dead soldiers and a Type 99. Secondary Objective completed.
- 25Move your sniper to the second plateau, which is the same level as the easternmost gun on this mountain.
- 26Stay near the ridge edge and creep forward to a chokepoint with a big boulder on the plateau and a small boulder on the ridge edge.
- 27From here, you have a view of the last gun and its two guards: a sniper behind sandbags and a stationed guard by the gun.
- 28You can snipe both or snipe one and set an ambush behind the boulders.
- 29Once all guards are dead, consolidate your team, reach the gun, and blow it up. Secondary Objective completed.
- 30You will be rewarded with health kits and a fully-loaded Type 100 SMG.
- 31Locate the final secondary artillery gun on the southern point of a second large mountain northwest of the central mountain.
- 32You may need more dynamite; two charges are inside a log bunker on the northeast corner of the central mountain, guarding towards the north.
- 33From the third gun you just destroyed, head north towards some boulders. Through a passage between two boulders, you will see the rear of this bunker.
- 34Be aware of a pair of patrolling SMG guards off the ridge to the east.
- 35Set your men on the boulder ridge for covering fire, then creep a stealth man forward.
