Alright, let's dive into Valkyrie's first chapter in Odin Sphere Leifthrasir! This chapter is all about getting you familiar with some basic mechanics, including finding Phozon Skills and taking down your first couple of bosses. Don't worry, they're pretty straightforward!

Phozon Skills:

Throughout the game, you'll be hunting for Phozon Skills. In each chapter, there are usually three to find: one you get as you naturally progress, another hidden somewhere off the beaten path, and the third awarded for clearing the chapter. The game gives you some hints, but keeping an eye on your map is key. Once you snag your first Phozon Skill, you can access it through the skill menu (press L1) or set it to a shortcut using the square button.

Mid-Boss: Unicorn Knight

Attacks:

• Downward Thrust (Creates a shockwave)
• Jump Attack
• Charge (Includes a super version where it charges across the map three times)
• Tornado (Creates a high then low wind gust on both sides)

Strategy:

The Unicorn Knight is your first real test, but honestly, it's not too tough. It has two life bars: a pink overall health bar and a yellow bar that depletes first. Depleting the yellow bar takes a chunk out of the pink one. Keep an eye on its health; some bosses change tactics as they get weaker. The Unicorn Knight has a couple of signature moves. When it leaps into the air for a downward stab, be ready to move. If it starts a dashing motion, it's going to charge straight at you – a well-timed jump can easily get you over it. Around the 50% health mark, it'll get some fairy backup, but don't sweat it. This boss is mostly here to get you used to fighting, and you'll see tougher versions later.

Boss: Raging Dragon Belial

Attacks:

• Spits out debris (This debris can be knocked back at Belial to stun it)
• Burrow (Dives underground and pops up to attack)
• Inhale (Tries to swallow you and nearby debris)
• Tail Slam (Swings its tail, causing a small shockwave)

Strategy:

Belial looks intimidating, but it's actually one of the easier bosses in the game. The main strategy here is to get behind it and wail on its backside. The Beak Dive Phozon Skill is perfect for this, letting you pass right through Belial. If you don't have that yet or miss the timing, a simple double jump over it will also get you behind its vulnerable spot. Remember those debris chunks Belial spits out? You can hit them back at the boss, and if they connect, it'll get dizzy, giving you a great opening for attacks. The only move you really need to watch out for is its Inhale attack; just keep running away to avoid getting sucked in. Focus on its back, and this fight will be over before you know it.
