Parallel Worlds

Discover the locations and effects of all Orbs of True Knowledge in Noita. Learn how they impact gameplay, Kolmisilmä, and unlock powerful spells.

Orbs of True Knowledge are special collectibles found throughout the world of Noita. Each orb is accompanied by an Emerald Tablet and often found within dedicated Orb Rooms. Collecting these orbs provides various benefits and unlocks spells, but also influences the game's challenges.

Effects:

• Upon first collection, grants a specific spell and unlocks it for future runs.
• In subsequent runs, provides an Extra Max Health pickup (+25 HP) and a different message.
• An orb counter appears on the HUD after collecting at least one orb.
• Collecting orbs significantly buffs Kolmisilmä, increasing its health and potentially granting new abilities or weaknesses.

Orbs of Corrupted Knowledge:

• These are orbs found in parallel worlds, appearing red.
• They do not contain spells but grant Cursed Extra Max Health (which can be avoided by careful pickup).
• Collected corrupted orbs also scale Kolmisilmä.
• Each specific corrupted orb can only be collected once per direction (east/west).

Known Orbs of True Knowledge:

1. Thoth Orb: Located atop the Pyramid. Grants the Earthquake spell.
2. Volume I Orb: Found within the floating island above the mine entrance in the Forest. Grants the Sea of Lava spell.
3. Volume II Orb: Found under the Frozen Vault, left of the Giant Tree. Grants Summon Tentacle and Summon Tentacle With Timer spells.
4. Volume III Orb: Located under the Lava Lake. Grants the Nuke spell. Requires digging through dense rock or freezing lava.
5. Volume IV Orb: At the bottom of the Sandcave below the Pyramid. Grants the Necromancy spell.
6. Volume V Orb: In an Orb Room left of the Magical Temple. Grants the Holy Bomb spell.
7. Volume VI Orb: At the bottom left of the Lukki Lair or top west of The Vault. Grants the Spiral Shot spell.
8. Volume VII Orb: In an Orb Room right of the abyss, accessible from the Mines area. Grants the Thundercloud spell.
9. Volume VIII Orb: In the center of The Work (Hell). Grants the Fireworks! spell.
10. Volume IX Orb: At the bottom of the Snowy Chasm under the Snowy Wasteland. Grants Summon Deercoy, Flock of Ducks, and Worm Launcher spells.
11. Volume X Orb: At the bottom of the Wizard's Den under the Desert Chasm. Grants the Cement (Spell).

Maximum Orbs:

• A maximum of 33 orbs can be collected in a single run (11 in the Main World, 11 per parallel world direction).
• This can increase to 36 with rare Orbs from Great Treasure Chests.
• The Orb beneath the Lava Lake does not spawn in parallel worlds outside of New Game Plus, potentially reducing the maximum attainable orbs without glitches.
