When the door to the north opens, you'll find a whole group of Germans waiting. Get out your Thompson submachine gun and take them down quickly. Try to shoot as many of them as possible from beyond the doorway so you have some cover when you engage them.

When the coast is clear, head over to the opposite side of the room. Open the next door by spinning the wheel next to it with the Use key.
