Your guide to Objective 1: (2) in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Learn how to clear the courtyard, deal with guards, and rescue the SAS Agent.
Walkthrough
- 1You'll begin right next to a corner. Walk around it, and you'll see a wooden gate with some chatter coming from beyond it. A truck will drive off, and a couple of enemies will be milling about.
- 2Approach the gate and head right. You'll spot another gate door, and the game will remind you how to open doors. Press 'E' to open it. If you need a health boost, grab the health kit on the crate inside.
- 3Head west towards the wall, then south to the next gateway. Press the use key ('E') to open it and proceed.
- 4As you enter, you'll see a deck in front of you with a single guard patrolling. Your M1 Garand is perfect for this – line up a headshot and take him down.
- 5After dealing with the first guard, move south until you find an open doorway. You'll hear a couple of guards chatting and playing cards. Equip your Colt .45. Aim for a headshot on one of them. Then, quickly take out the second guard. The last guard will move towards your position from the doorway, so be ready to shoot him as he advances.
- 6Once they're all down, grab the ammo and the health pack from the table. Then, head up the stairs.
- 7Pause at the first landing. Look southwest; you'll see a railing and two guards patrolling the upper area. Aim for a headshot on the first guard. The second guard might be a bit more alert, so if he starts firing, take cover behind the railing.
- 8Continue up the stairs. Go past the table, stepping over the two rifles on the ground to collect 20 rounds of ammo. Keep moving forward, and you'll find a cell door. Open it to find the SAS Agent.
Tips
- Don't forget to grab the health kit and ammo scattered around after clearing out the guards.
- The Colt .45 is surprisingly effective for quick headshots on stationary targets.
- Be ready for the last guard in the initial courtyard to advance towards you.
- The second guard on the upstairs landing might be tougher; using cover is key if you don't get the headshot immediately.
