Hey there! So, you've got a growing settlement in Manor Lords and need to get your people working. It's pretty straightforward once you know how, so let's break down how to assign families to jobs.

Whenever you click on any building – whether it's for industry, trade, farming, or anything else – you'll notice it needs families to operate. When you select a building, look for an icon shaped like a person's silhouette. This shows you how many employees the building can support. You can then use the plus and minus buttons next to these icons to assign your families to work there.

The key thing to remember is that families are assigned from your 'free employment pool'. You can see how many families are available right there in the top-left corner of your main UI screen. Any families not currently assigned to a job will just wander around until they're either tasked with construction or you assign them to a specific job.

Pro Tip: If you ever want an easy way to see exactly where everyone is working, just press the 'Tab' key. This brings up a list of all your buildings, showing their current capacity and how many people are already working in them. It's super handy for keeping track of your assigned families. From this list, you can select a building and press 'E' to assign more families (if you have any free in the pool) or 'Q' to reduce the number assigned if you want to reallocate them. Handy, right?
