Chapter 5: Days Gone By

Examine Shintani's body in your closet, focusing on his chest and face. Find his phone to his right, underneath his body.

After the police arrive and Kuroiwa gives you a look, you are free to go.

Head to Saori's office and speak with Genda to update the team.

After everyone leaves, speak to Hoshino. He will give you the key to the office and then ask to talk.

Agree to talk to Hoshino. He will explain his desire to help.

Present Shintani's Phone Log. The last call was to Advanced Drug Development Center (ADDC), the workplace of Shinpei Okubo.

The next morning, exit the office. An old man will collapse nearby. Approach him and he will ask for mugwort.

Go into the park and examine the green shiny object to find mugwort. Hand it to the old man.

Keihin thugs will appear. Fight them until Iyama intervenes and gives you some of his Extracts.

Use an Extract and defeat the thugs. You can now make and use Extracts. Iyama starts you with two and materials for more will appear more frequently.

Iyama gives you the key to the Dragon's Palace, allowing access to his Extract shop, Casino, and Gambling Hall.

Head to Charles, where Kaito, Hoshino, Sugiura, and Higashi are gathered.

Decide to contact ADDC. Yagami calls the number; the dialogue choices do not affect the outcome.

Take a taxi to ADDC on Park Boulevard.

At ADDC, speak to the receptionist. Director Kido, whom you met during the Okubo investigation, will appear.

You will be transported to Yagami's memories of the Okubo case. Terasawa leads you to the crime scene.

TROPHY ALERT: In the Active Search, examine Terasawa's face, chest, and posterior.

In the Active Search, examine Waku's bed, then the window, then the door.

Step outside and Shintani will ask if you want to review the case. If you agree, you will learn Waku was a dementia patient who disappeared and was later found in Okubo's truck. Okubo confessed to dumping the body but denied killing Waku.

Follow Terasawa to the freight elevator and down to the loading dock.

Speak to Shintani, walk to where the truck was parked, then back to the elevator door, then speak to Terasawa. You will learn Okubo had means and opportunity, and DNA evidence was found in his truck.

Return to the room and speak with Terasawa to finish at the scene.

Visit the defendant, Okubo. He reiterates his innocence, explaining he found the body in his truck after his rounds and panicked.

Shintani reveals Okubo and the victim argued earlier in the week over a stolen wallet, which Okubo denies.

Back at Genda's office, speak to Saori and then Genda. When asked about the defense focus, select "Waku's Hospital Room: Hallway".

Shintani causes a commotion outside. Chase the intruder and discover it is Terasawa.

Thugs intervene. Fight them using base Yagami, as you have neither Skills nor Items in this memory sequence.

After defeating the thugs, take Terasawa to Tender. She reveals her belief in Okubo's innocence and that the witness story doesn't add up.

At the trial, Shono testifies, followed by Terasawa. Present "Waku's Hospital Room: Hallway" and choose "Shono's testimony was a lie."

When Shono retakes the stand, question his testimony. Izumida counters by questioning Okubo's character.

Terasawa speaks up in Okubo's defense, revealing they are seeing each other, swaying the judge.
