Adventure Mode

Adventure mode is one of the three game modes in Hytale. When you start, you'll spawn in one of three zones in the Alterverse: the Emerald Grove, the Howling Sands, or Borea. Your goal is to survive, explore, craft better gear, build bases, and defeat monsters. It's like an RPG, but with a sandbox feel. You can play solo or with friends in co-op.

Note: Adventure mode won't be available at Early Access launch. You'll be able to play Exploration Mode and Creative Mode first.

Story

Not much is known about the full story yet, but the main antagonist is believed to be Varyn. Concept art shows Varyn potentially trying to corrupt Orbis with the void element. Keep an eye out for Varyn as you explore!

A Quest For The Ages

As you explore the generated landscapes, you'll uncover the world's history through handcrafted adventure scenarios. You might find a mage's tower crawling with monsters, delve into an underground cavern, or face a colossal boss. With many scenarios available at launch, each adventure will feel unique.

Choose Your Path

Hytale supports all playstyles. Whether you're a settler, adventurer, or crafter, you'll find plenty to do as you progress. The best part? Adventure mode is fully playable in co-op! Gather your friends and combine your skills to make your mark on the world together.

Encounter Dire Foes

Hytale's world is filled with creatures big and small, from tiny critters to mighty monsters. Each zone has its own unique wildlife, and dangerous creatures guard the most powerful gear in the game. Be prepared for a challenge!

Master The Wilderness

Settle down in any of Hytale's beautiful biomes. Grow crops, care for pets, tame mounts, and build boats or other vehicles to help you explore. You'll have tons of opportunities to get creative, whether you're building a cozy cottage or a grand castle.

Discover Unique Worlds

Experience magical moments as the world generation creates stunning sights on the fly: rivers carving through mountains, waterfalls plunging into ancient caverns, and bubbling hot springs offering a break from the wild's dangers.
