Rare Resources & Materials

Discover the locations of all obtainable ores in Hytale, from common Copper to rare Adamantite. Learn where to find them and how they're used in crafting.

Hey there! So you're diving into Hytale and want to know about the good stuff you can dig up, right? Let's talk about Ore. Think of Ore as the raw, natural material that you'll be smashing with your pickaxe to get valuable metals. Once you've got those metals, you'll smelt them into Bars, which are super important for crafting all sorts of gear. Right now, you can find these Ores in the game: * Copper: You'll find this pretty easily underground in the Emerald Wilds zones. * Iron: It's around underground in Emerald Wilds zones on levels 2-3, but you'll have the best luck finding it underground in the Howling Sands zones. * Gold: You can find Gold in Emerald Wilds zones, but it's most common underground in the Howling Sands zones, especially near bedrock on depth 3. * Cobalt: This one's in the Whisper Frost Frontiers. Look for it on mountain sides, both on the surface and underground all the way down to bedrock. You might also find it in outlander structures. * Thorium: Keep an eye out for Thorium underground in Howling Sands zones on level 2. You can also find it in Faran settlement chests. * Silver: Similar to Cobalt, Silver is found in the Whisper Frost Frontiers on mountain sides, on the surface and underground down to bedrock. Outlander structures are another spot to check. * Adamantite: This rare gem is found in the Devestated Lands zones, both above ground and underground. There are also some Ores that aren't obtainable yet, like Mithril, Onyxium, and Prisma. We'll have to wait and see when those get added! Once you mine Ore blocks, you'll take them to a Furnace to smelt them into Bars. These Bars are the building blocks for awesome Weapons and Armor. Generally, the rarer the Ore, the better the gear you can make from it, so keep an eye out for those tougher-to-find materials!
