The Support role in Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is the backbone of your squad's sustained combat effectiveness. Unlike the aggressive Assault, Support soldiers focus on providing sustained firepower and essential resources to their teammates. Your primary weapon, often a light machine gun like the M60, excels at suppressing enemy positions and laying down a high volume of fire, making it difficult for the enemy to advance or effectively return fire. This suppression is critical for allowing your Assaults to push objectives or for your squad to establish a defensive perimeter.

Beyond direct combat, the Support player is instrumental in maintaining ammunition levels. You carry a larger supply of ammunition than most other roles and can resupply nearby squad members. This mechanic is vital for keeping your team in the fight, especially during prolonged engagements on maps like Hue City. Coordinate with your squad leader to identify key defensive positions or areas where sustained fire is needed.
