Explore Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer maps like Battle Creek, Sidewinder, and Blood Gulch. Get details on layouts and game modes.

Battle Creek: This is a relatively small map where red and blue bases are divided by a creek. Its size makes King of the Hill and Slayer games wild. In Capture the Flag, flags are inside bases with multiple openings. An Active Camouflage is available on one end of the creek, but its small size makes it risky to grab.

Sidewinder: A fairly large map suitable for vehicle battles, though Banshees can be problematic. Most ground is ice, causing Warthogs to slip. A tunnel connects bases via a ramp outside each base, where two Pistols are located. An Overshield and Active Camouflage are in the inner parts, accessible through tunnels from outside your base.

Boarding Action: Bases are separated by a gap that results in instant death if fallen into; teleporters are required to cross. Multiple floor levels exist on both sides, making it a great map for Sniper Rifles and chaotic Capture the Flag matches.

Blood Gulch: One of the most popular maps. Bases are small but contain Shotguns, Plasma Rifles, and Assault Rifles. An open field with hills lies between bases, offering bumpy Warthog rides. Popular for Capture the Flag, requiring quick grabs from the base center.

Chiron TL34: A small map where each room is separated by a teleporter. Small boxed areas hold weapons and grenades. Bases are no larger than the rooms, making it a less ideal Capture the Flag map, but fun for Oddball due to the numerous teleporters.

Longest: Essentially one hallway with pillars. Success relies on grenade effectiveness. With near 16 players, it can be hellish due to potential spawn killing. Bases are small rooms at each end. Not ideal for Capture the Flag; Slayer or King of the Hill are recommended. Ramps lead to ledges with Overshields.

Ice Fields: Mostly open with minimal ice, mainly under a bridge in the center. Great for large vehicle battles. Capture the Flag requires significant teamwork due to the open areas. Two paths exist: over the bridge with minimal ice, or beneath the bridge with plenty of ice.

Death Island: Another large map with varied combat locations. The Banshee is useful here. It has a
