Familiarize yourself with Kei's hiding skill (explained in the HIDING MOVES document). Duck next to wall-type structures to hide. The meter in the bottom right corner (HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap)) glows brighter as a ghost approaches and turns red when spotted. Kei's camera cannot harm ghosts in this hour, making hiding essential.

In the Barred Hallway, snap a photo of the ghost in the distance for 500 Pts, but do not follow her.

In the Kimono Room, a ghost (WOMAN BEFORE KOTO) appears behind the screen at the koto. Look between the kimonos to catch her. The Woman Brushing ghost appears near the mirror stand with the HOLLY HAIRPIN. Wait for her to move near the staircase before grabbing the hairpin and unlocking the door.

If the Woman Brushing ghost pursues you in the Closet Hallway, hide behind the large dresser near the bottom of the stairs. Save your game in the Garden Corridor.

In the Projector Room, photograph the projector screen to find Secret Ghost #16 PROJECTOR WOMAN. Type 14 Film is in the back room.

In the Bell Hallway, MAN IN SCREEN appears behind a screen; run left of the screen for a quick snap. The Tattooed Priestess ghost appears at the end of the hall. Hide behind the screen where the previous ghost appeared and wait for her to emerge.

In the Hall with Tatami, take a picture of the SECRETIVE OLD WOMAN near the stairs. Upstairs, Kuze Family Head will attack. Lure her away from the chest by dodging her attacks, then retrieve the CAMERA OBSCURA, FOLKLORE NOTES 3, and LENS UPGRADE "SLOW" with a file. Her attacks cannot be harmed by your camera.

After getting the Camera Obscura, return to the Kimono Room and photograph the WOMAN BRUSHING ghost at the mirror stand. This photograph unlocks the previously locked door in the Hall with Tatami.

In the Hall with Tatami, two Man in White's may appear. You can fight them or run past them to the newly unlocked door.
