Complete Far Cry Primal Deep Wounds walkthrough. Learn how to find green leafs, defeat Udam, and get Sayla's basic healing recipe.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The best skill to acquire first is Primitive Heal 1, which restores one section of your health bar without using resources. Sprint Heal and Extra Health 1 are the only other options available at this point.
  2. 2
Your first task is to find four healing green leafs for Sayla. A waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination) (a marker on your screen) will guide you to them along the river.
  3. 3
Exit the cavern and head down to the river valley by following the bluff on the west side of the stream.
  4. 4
Collect resources as you move, but be careful not to stray too far out of bounds, as this will cause the mission to fail.
  5. 5
You will pass a Neolithic shrine called the Wakwas River Stones.
  6. 6
Continue past the shrine, harvesting deer, goats, and any other resources you find. Be aware of predators like dholes, wolves, or jaguars.
  7. 7
Three dhole hides are needed to upgrade your quiver to hold sixteen arrows. You can harvest corpses marked with an "X" on the minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen) (a small map usually in the corner of your screen).
  8. 8
Approach the waypoint cautiously, listening and watching for Udam (enemies).
  9. 9
One Udam will be at the waypoint on the west side of the stream, pounding on a Wenja corpse. Sneak up to take him out. A headshot (a shot that lands on the enemy's head, usually an instant kill) (a shot to the head) with your bow is an instant kill, but two body shots will take him down. You can also perform a takedown by getting close.
  10. 10
Search the Udam's body for loot and retrieve your arrow if you shot him.
  11. 11
Nearby, two of the required green leafs will glow red when you activate Hunter's Vision (a special vision mode). Harvest these leafs.
  12. 12
With two leafs collected, cross the shallow stream to find the others. Even though this stream is currently free of crocodiles, it is wise to use Hunter's Vision to scan the water for threats before entering.
  13. 13
Cross the stream and move south along the riverbank.
  14. 14
Use Hunter's Vision to locate the remaining plants.
  15. 15
You will come across a Udam cooking camp; proceed with caution.
  16. 16
Eliminate any Udam preparing a meal of Wenja and harvest the two needed leafs, plus an extra one if available.
  17. 17
Begin your return to Sayla's camp, moving warily.
  18. 18
A three-man Udam hunting party may be encountered moving along the west side of the stream. You can engage them with a stealthy approach or avoid them by continuing along the stream's east bank towards the waypoint.
  19. 19
After a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (an in-game cinematic event), you will help Sayla treat her wounds.
  20. 20
Sayla rewards you with her basic healing recipe.
  21. 21
Takkar can now explore Oros freely (free roam (the open-world mode where you move and play without an active mission)), with Sayla's refuge serving as your base of operations and your first fast travel station.
  22. 22
Your next destination will likely be the Nakuti Bonfire, which is on the way to the mission marker for Tensay, the shaman, located far to the east.
Tips
  • Prioritize the Primitive Heal 1 skill for resource-free healing early on.
  • Use Hunter's Vision frequently to spot resources, enemies, and potential threats in the environment.
  • Be mindful of the out-of-bounds markers to avoid failing the mission.
  • Harvesting predator kills or environmental hazard deaths can yield valuable resources.
  • A headshot with the bow is the most efficient way to eliminate Udam.
