Complete walkthrough for the Chain Reaction quest in Dying Light: The Beast, including choices for Lucy and how to get the best ending and rewards.
Walkthrough
- 1You are sent to a campsite in the National Park. Your objective is to turn off the gas canisters in the trailer park. If you have the Spas Decoy blueprint from the Good Vibrations side quest, use it to distract creatures and Virals.
- 2Once all gas canisters are off, use Molotovs on the Spas Decoy or Firecracker to deal with the goon.
- 3After defeating the creatures, head to the main cabin door to rescue Lucy. Exhaust dialogue with her to learn more about her connection to the Baron.
- 4Lucy needs fuel and food to escape. She sends you to a resource cache controlled by the Baron.
- 5The cache has about 6 guards, two with guns and the rest with melee weapons. Use ranged attacks or stealth takedowns for the melee guards.
- 6Find the food rations box inside the pantry and the fuel by the shed. Loot the place if desired.
- 7Bring the food and fuel to the truck in the middle of the cache.
- 8Get in the car to contact Selby. He will express suspicion and tell you not to meet Lucy at the house.
- 9Drive to the house to skip time. This will lead you to the flooded part of the village.
- 10Enter the house through the front door and open the door on the left to find Selby confronting Lucy.
Lucy Choices:
- Bad Ending: Select "Is that true?" and then "I’ll leave you two alone." Selby will kill Lucy. You receive 10,000 XP and two expert field manual pages.
- Good Ending: Select "Not important now." and then "Can’t let you do this, Selby." Lucy will escape in the car. You receive 10,000 XP and two expert field manuals.

- Well-placed headshots with ranged weapons are effective against the guards in the Baron's cache.
- Both endings provide the same XP and manual pages, with the primary difference being Lucy's fate.
- The choices primarily serve character building and offer insight into the experiences of other infected under the Baron's watch.
- 10,000 XP
- 2 Expert Field Manual pages (for legendary blueprint upgrades)
