Aether Shards

Aether Shards are vital for upgrading your Aetheric abilities and unlocking new combat maneuvers. There are 50 Aether Shards scattered across the realm.

  • Whispering Woods:
    • Aether Shard #1: Located on a high ledge overlooking the Glowing Grotto entrance. Requires the "Double Jump" ability. From the Grotto's entrance, look up and to the right. Use the series of glowing mushrooms as platforms.
    • Aether Shard #2: Hidden behind a destructible rock wall in the Ancient Ruins section of the Whispering Woods. Use your "Earth Shatter" ability to break the wall. The shard is in a small alcove.
    • Aether Shard #3: At the base of the tallest tree in the Sunken Grove. You'll need to navigate a short underwater section; the shard is nestled amongst the roots.
  • Crimson Peaks:
    • Aether Shard #4: Perched atop the highest spire of the Dragon's Crest. This requires significant platforming skill and the "Glide" ability. Start from the Dragon's Roost waypoint.
    • Aether Shard #5: Inside a cave accessible only after defeating the Lava Golem boss. The cave entrance is behind the Golem's arena.
