A New Song of Erdrick

Alright, let's track down Zalen and get this 'A New Song of Erdrick' quest done! It's not too tricky, but you'll need to make some progress in the game to see all his spots. The good news is you can tackle this quest pretty much anytime, even right at the end, so don't sweat it if you don't get it done right away. Mostly, you just need to find him and chat, then head to the next place. He'll stick around in his old spots until you advance the story, so don't worry if he doesn't seem to move immediately.

Here's where you'll need to look for Zalen:

• Forgotten Ruins: Head northeast of Tantegel. Cross the bridge east of the Wayfarer’s Chapel and search the forest for these ruins. Zalen will be chilling north of a pond, probably strumming a lute.
• Nameless Ruins: These ruins are a good ways south of the Roadside Inn, on your way to get the Thief’s Key. You'll find him right in the middle of the town square.
• Damdara: This spot is in the desert northeast of the Citadel of the Monarch of Medals. Look for Zalen just south of the only building you can actually enter in the ruins.
• Cantlin: He won't be here when you first visit, but after you've dealt with the [Weeping Isle], come back. He should be on the bridge in the park at the city's center.
• Galenholm: This one's easy! Zalen even gives you a hint. Go back to Galenholm and check the beach on the southeastern side of the city. He'll be standing right there.
• Field of Flowers: Okay, for the next couple of steps, you're not actually looking for Zalen himself, but for info he wants you to find. After you complete the [Shrine of Rain], head back to the Field of Flowers. You'll end up talking to the Over-Seer right away.
• Shrine of Rain: Listen to the Over-Seer and return to the Shrine of Rain. You'll find the Dream-Whisperer there. Chat with her, and she'll teleport you to the Western Isle. After all the scenes play out, make sure to grab Erdrick’s Helm from the grave.
• Rimuldar: To finish things up, head back to Rimuldar. Go to the island on the western edge of town, and you'll find Zalen waiting for you. Talk to him, and you'll wrap up this quest!
