All Magic Key Treasure Locations

Find all Magic Key treasures in dragon quest i and ii hd 2d remake, including the Prayer Ring, Dog Suit, and Tempest Shield in the Faerie Palace.

After obtaining the Magic Key, you can now access many new treasures scattered throughout the world. This guide covers locations that can be accessed with the Magic Key, including new story events and treasures found in old areas.

Faerie Palace

Return to the Faerie Palace to advance the main story. Search 1F to find three chests you can now open. Talk to the Over-Seer, who implores you to find the remaining Sigils, and the Record-Keeper, who asks you to recover seven Living Memories. Head down to Faerie Palace - 1F and search the western edge of the level to find two chests containing a Prayer Ring and a Dog Suit. Another chest near the item merchant to the east contains a Tempest Shield.

• Prayer Ring: Faerie Palace - 1F, in a chest to the west.
• Dog Suit: Faerie Palace - 1F, in a chest to the west.
• Tempest Shield: Faerie Palace - 1F, in a chest to the east.

Midenhall

A large cache of treasures is located in a room in the southeastern corner of Midenhall Castle - 1F, behind a blue door that requires the Magic Key to open. Inside, you can plunder almost all the chests, save for one that requires the Ultimate Key. Head down to B1 and prepare for a fight. Go through the northwesternmost cell door and talk to the man within to face a Wrecktor. Defeat it to obtain a Lightning Staff, and search the floor behind the Wrecktor to find a Seed of Magic.

• Mighty Armlet: Midenhall Castle - 1F, in the southeastern corner, beyond a blue door, in a chest.
• Dieamend: Midenhall Castle - 1F, in the southeastern corner, beyond a blue door, in a chest.
• 2,400 gold: Midenhall Castle - 1F, in the southeastern corner, beyond a blue door, in a chest.
• Silver Cuirass: Midenhall Castle - 1F, in the southeastern corner, beyond a blue door, in a chest.
• Hawkeye Claw Scroll: Midenhall Castle - 1F, in the southeastern corner, beyond a blue door, in a chest.
• Lightning Staff: Midenhall Castle - B1, defeat the Wrecktor.
• Seed of Magic: Midenhall Castle - B1, search the ground behind the Wrecktor.

Cannock

Loot the blue chest in the middle of Cannock Castle - 1F to obtain Erdrick’s Shield. You can also loot a Rabbit’s Tail, Garter, and Rabbit Ears from the large room upstairs.

• Erdrick’s Shield: Cannock Castle - 1F, in the circular room in the center of the castle.

Deserted Village - Den of Thieves

Find Tanglewebs in the hut to the west, south of the stairs in the Deserted Village surroundings. In the Den of Thieves, defeat the Wild Hog, Pillager, and Surgical Spirit to obtain Harmour.
