Passage to Rendarak

Unlock Requirements: Complete the Volcanic Grotto (southwest of Dirkandor) to obtain the False Idol. Defeat the boss in Dirkandor and speak to the old man in the Beran church. This unlocks a door in the church's upstairs area, leading to a teleporter to the Shrine South of Rendarak.

Optional but Recommended: Visit the Shrine of Rubiss. You'll need the ability to dive into deep ocean waters. Defeat the boss there to receive the Eye of Rubiss. This is not needed for Rendarak itself but is crucial for the subsequent area.

Entering Rendarak: After obtaining the False Idol and completing the Beran church quest, use the teleporter in Beran to reach the Shrine South of Rendarak. After a scene, exit to the world map. Head west, through the poison swamp, to a mountain opening. Use the False Idol here to open the Passage to Rendarak.

Passage to Rendarak - L1: Upon entering, you'll be on L1. Three chests are indicated by 'Nose for Treasure', but they are all empty. To proceed, fall through any of the rocky spots that look different from the surrounding floor to reach B1.

Passage to Rendarak - B1: Use 'Safe Passage' to negate damage from the poison on the ground. Head to the southeast corner to find a chest containing a Seed of Strength. In the northwestern corner, find a hidden item (a Seed of Luck) on the left side of a rock. A scene will occur if you go to the middle of the room.

Passage to Rendarak - L2 & L3 (Upper Section): Take any ladder back to L1, then use the northwestern stairs to reach L3. Proceed through the long passage to L3. Near the southern end, find two chests: one with Magic Water (x3) and another with a Hocus Hat.

Passage to Rendarak - L2 (Mapless Area): Return to L1 and take the northeastern stairs to L2. This area is mapless, making it easy to get lost. 'Nose for Treasure' may indicate five treasures, but only one is real. From the start, go right and up at the first stairs for an empty chest. Continue right, ignoring the next stairs, and go up at the following set of stairs to find a chest with a Seed of Wisdom. Continue exploring to find other empty chests.

Passage to Rendarak - L3 (Central Section): Navigate back to the east-to-west hallway on L2, then descend to another hallway. Go left and down for an empty chest. Continue left past the next stairs to the second set, where going down reveals another empty chest. Return to the path, go right, and then up to the central room. A ladder on the right side leads to the proper section of L3.

Passage to Rendarak - L3 (Lower Section): In this section of L3, head to the southeastern corner and open two chests containing Tombola Tickets (x4) and Spiked Armour. Take the stairs in this corner down to find a chest with Erdrick’s Armour.

Passage to Rendarak - L5: From the southeastern stairs on L3, you will reach L5. Take the western stairs from the central L3 section to reach L5 and find a chest with a Mad Cap. Take the northwestern stairs from L3 to reach L5 and find two chests: one with 1,455 Gold Coins and another with Thanatos’ Shield (Cursed).
