Namir Strategy

Master the Namir boss fight in Deus Ex: Human Revolution with this expert strategy guide. Learn his attack patterns, effective weapons, and how to survive.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Namir is highly resistant to EMP grenades.
• Frag grenades are the preferred explosive.
• He fires powerful plasma shots that sting, so dodging is crucial.

Phases:

1. Opening Salvo: Immediately throw a Frag grenade at Namir. As soon as it hits, rush in and unload your most powerful weapon into him.
2. Attrition: If you have a second explosive, repeat the opening salvo. If not, the fight becomes a long-range engagement.

Strategy:

• Before the fight, check the drawers under the augmented mannequins around the arena for useful items like ammo and weapons (shotgun, heavy machine gun, combat rifle can be found here).
• Start the fight by throwing a Frag grenade at Namir and then immediately move left.
• After landing the grenade, run in and unload your weapon into his face.
• If you have a second explosive, use it for another quick burst of damage.
• If you don't have a second explosive, the fight will become a long and arduous process of potshots.
• Keep an eye on your radar and listen for audio cues to track Namir's position.
• Move around the outside of the arena clockwise, stopping at each corner to aim down the length of the arena.
• When aiming, strafe left and right to avoid his plasma shots.
• When you have a clear shot, pop off a few rounds and then immediately retreat to cover.
• This is a long process, but by consistently applying this hit-and-run tactic, you will eventually defeat Namir.
