You'll earn some sweet loot just for playing, but remember, you gotta land at least one kill to be eligible for rewards. Don't worry too much about your Power level or Light level in most playlists, as those are usually disabled so everyone has a fair shot. ### Getting Started In the original _Destiny_, you'll unlock the Crucible once your Guardian hits level 5 and you've had a chat with Lord Shaxx. Keep in mind that special and heavy ammo spawn in crates. Special ammo shows up after three minutes and then every two minutes after that. Heavy ammo spawns every five minutes, and Lord Shaxx will usually give you a heads-up when it's about to drop. #### Earning Reputation For every Crucible match you complete, you'll earn Crucible Reputation. Wins give you 25 reputation, while losses give you 10. Rack up enough reputation, and you'll start ranking up. Once you hit certain Crucible Ranks, you can buy cool stuff from Arcite 99-40 and Lord Shaxx back in the Tower.
