After an introductory sequence, you'll be back in the original Darksiders' Earth. Defend the area against a large number of zombies.

After slaying enough zombies, Uriel will speak to you. Choose the option about casualties to start the side-quest ‘Light of the Fallen’. Uriel will also give you the gun, Redemption.

Return to the building you entered from. Head up the stairs at the back to find a tome statue and a chest.

Return to the courtyard and head to the building directly north for a chest.

Make your way to the dead end to the northwest. Find a Boatman’s Coin hidden behind a car.

Look east to see a blue stone on the corner of a building. Shoot it for a Stone of Mystics.

Check the inside of the two buildings south of the courtyard for a chest and a Boatman’s coin.

Head down the street to the left of the building you entered the realm from. Be sure to use Redemption. You will hear a battle horn before being attacked by swarms of zombies.

A fire golem will charge out of a building to your left. Kill it and its accompanying zombies.

Cruise to the end of the street and drop down the hole. Look behind you to find a Soul Arbiter’s Scroll.

Climb back up and enter the door the fire golem came from. Kill the zombies inside and work your way through the building.

As you exit, turn right and defend yourself from a zombie swarm. If you didn't bring Redemption, a replacement can be found on the ground to the left below a dead angel. You can kill this angel (1/10) for the ‘Light of the Fallen’ side-quest.

Continue up the hill. You will be attacked by a swarm of zombies and a fire golem. Retreat backwards while firing.

As you reach an intersection, you will encounter a suffering demon. Back away down the street while firing until it is dead.

Return to the intersection and hang a left. Kill the zombies and turn right onto the next street.

When you reach red crystals flanking the road, look behind the crystal on the right for a Book of the Dead page. Grab the nearby chest.

Proceed into the tunnel to the east. Head down the stairs. A fire golem and zombie swarm will attack.

In the southeast corner of this room, find an angel to kill (2/10).

Move through the tunnel to the south and fend off another fire golem/zombie encounter.

Continue through the tunnel killing zombies until you reach stairs going down. Deal with the fire golem that rushes you before heading down.

Turn left at the bottom of the stairs and look in the alcoves to the right for another angel to kill (3/10).

Proceed west. As you round a corner, you will encounter another suffering demon with a group of zombies. Backpedal and fire until they are dead.

Continue into the room they came from. Keep to the right-hand wall. Near the green doorway, shoot a crystal near the roof for a Stone of Mystics.

Follow the passage around the corner to a side room with chests.

Exit to the main area and cross the bridge. Turn right and look behind the red crystals for a Relic of Renagoth.

Continue south and destroy the green door. Walk through it to gain the first piece of the Rod of Arafel.

In the room behind the door, climb the stairs. In the corner at the top, use Death Grip to grab a Book of the Dead page.

Continue up the stairs and exit the building to find yourself near the courtyard. Follow the objective marker to return to Uriel with the Rod. She will open a new area.

Walk through the passage Uriel opens and follow the path into a sewer pipe. Look left as you enter for a Book of the Dead page.

Continue down the tunnel and exit through the hole in the wall to the left. A fire golem and zombie entourage will appear in front, with more zombies behind. Take out the fire golem first.

After exiting the tunnel, a grenade launcher will be on the ground.

Tips

Use Redemption frequently, especially against swarms of zombies. The rapid fire is very effective.
Listen for the battle horn sound to anticipate zombie attacks.
Retreat and fire when facing multiple strong enemies like fire golems and suffering demons.
