Follow this detailed walkthrough for Children of the Sun to find the missable RUMROM, navigate the tower, and complete the train sequence. Includes tips for collectibles and avoiding point of no return.
Walkthrough
- 1Walk east until you hear ambient dialogue, then west until blocked. Turn back east to trigger dialogue.
- 2Leave the building. To the south, you can buy items and save your game to the west.
- 3Talk to Shorty (red bandana) three times. He appears in a random order from various locations.
- 4Go to cell 6 and talk to Shorty. It's at the end of the cell block near where you escaped the cage.
- 5MISSABLE RUMROM: Find the NPC driving a truck in the prison yard. When he yawns (look for a "?" prompt), sneak into the truck bed.
- 6After disembarking, climb the stairs. Collect 2x 100 Yenom, 2x Empty Can, and 3x Green Gem on the way up.
- 7At the top, pick up the RUMROM Mammo's Tablet.
- 8Inside the cave, find 3x Empty Can and a Lucky Bean.
- 9Talk to the NPC here to return.
- 10The tower entrance is blocked by two snowmen guards. Scroll them off-screen and back to change their positions until they move. Enter the tower.
- 11Head to the top of the tower and exit to pick up a hidden Lucky Bean.
- 12POINT OF NO RETURN: Do not sit on the box in the tower until you are ready to progress and can no longer interact with children or pick up RUMROM.
- 13Return to the tower's main floor and interact with the box on the left to sit, triggering dialogue.
- 14Complete the spinner minigame. You can retry by sitting on the box again if you fail.
- 15Go to the west side of the central prison area and trigger dialogue.
- 16Leave south, then west to reach the train platform.
- 17Talk to all the children to proceed.
- 18On the train, talk to all children, then the center child. Fight him and complete the spinner minigame three times.
Tips
- Save your game in the western area before proceeding with the RUMROM steps.
- The snowmen guards can be tricky; keep scrolling them off and on screen until they move.
- The spinner minigame can be challenging; don't be afraid to retry.
