Follow the Children of the Sun Walkthrough (3) to unlock the Book function, find a Green Gem, and trigger secret cutscenes.

Walkthrough

    Pick up the Rice Ball and leave the treehouse.

    Pass through a small hole in the fence to the east to pick up a Fine Herb and a Small Ohagi.

    Proceed to the left for a secret extra cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically).

    From back in the main town area, pass around the side of the treehouse for a semi-secret area with more story.

    Go south to the gate and climb the ladder to the east watchtower.

    Talk to the lookout and ask "Could you open the gate?".

    Talk to the Minister of Junk (the child with the pig hood) and ask to open the gate. If you haven't talked to him already, you'll need to talk to him twice. Accept at every dialogue option.

    Head south to the crossroads.

    Go southwest to return to the mural where you entered this world. A Green Gem is hidden to its left.

    Return to the crossroads and follow the pig southeast.

    Continue through the cutscene to unlock the Book function.

  • Looting the grave for the Fine Herb and Small Ohagi has no mechanical repercussions.
