Follow this detailed walkthrough to find the RUMROM, collect Green Gems, and prepare for the final boss fight against God Motor in Children of the Sun. Includes missable items and point of no return.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Find the number for an abandoned room. Room 0319 is suggested, or use the game's advice to go to room 8000 and scout from there.
  2. 2
Abandoned rooms contain three Deletalls. If they catch you, they'll try to teleport you back to the main port room. Complete a spinner minigame to avoid this and talk to them (they all say the same thing).
  3. 3
On the top center platform, find discarded shell heads with numbers. The middle one shows 6235. Travel to room 6235.
  4. 4
In room 6235, the top center platform has numbers 5243. There is also a Green Gem on the ground.
  5. 5
MISSABLE: Head to 5243. The top center platform holds the Open Sesame Stone RUMROM. The numbers on the head here are too dirty to make out. Any random abandoned storage room will lead to 6235 and then 5243.
  6. 6
Head to the Converter Room (5963).
  7. 7
In the Converter Room, find a hidden Green Gem in the left corner and another under a conveyor belt support on the right.
  8. 8
Interact with the four broken components located at each corner of the giant central machine, halfway underneath it.
  9. 9
Talk to the floating NPC near the south end of the room. They will give you two numbers of a storage room (e.g., 17**). These numbers are randomized.
  10. 10
Head to the Control Room (3282).
  11. 11
In the Control Room, find a hidden Green Gem in the northwest.
  12. 12
Flip every possible lever on the machines to trigger dialogue.
  13. 13
After the dialogue, you'll receive the other two numbers of the target room (e.g., **56). These are randomized per playthrough.
  14. 14
You can go directly to the randomized room if you have the number, but this is not essential for progression.
  15. 15
Travel to the randomized room. Repeatedly interact with the NPC and play the spinner minigame until you receive the item "Jonny Battery."
  16. 16
Return to the Main Port Room 0000 and interact with the battery slot above the machine.
  17. 17
Head northeast into the newly opened room. On the far side is the shell of God.
  18. 18
MISSABLE: The lower right page of God's book entry shows the number 2039. Ignore the travel machine in this room and return to the previous room. Input 2039 into the travel machine to reach an abandoned storage room. On the top center platform, find the hidden Lunar Record. This is required to save God.
  19. 19
Use the Lunar Record for the boss hint.
  20. 20
Return to the Main Port Room 0000. Save your game. Continue to the northeastern room and use the travel machine to go to the boss fight.
  21. 21
POINT OF NO RETURN: Once the boss fight is triggered, you cannot return to this area. Ensure you have the Lunar Record and the Sesame Stone RUMROM.
  22. 22
LAST AREA WITH RANDOM ENCOUNTERS: Spend any remaining money at shops now, as the next area has its own Gem Exchange and no other shops.

Boss: God Motor

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • All attacks spawn batteries that must be interacted with via a spinner minigame to remove them.
  • Brief invincibility frames (iframes) are granted upon removing a battery, which can be used tactically.
  • Prioritize removing batteries over other actions, but avoid dying in the process.

Phases:

  1. God's Full Range: Bits spawn and fire large lasers. Prioritize batteries; clearing left to right can be effective.
  2. God's Missiles: A large missile battery spawns, shooting tracking missiles. Improvise and prioritize batteries.
  3. God's Laser Cuts: Two hands spawn and shoot moving laser points with damaging trails. Use battery-removal iframes to dodge and move quickly.
  4. God's Heavy Sighs: God Motor fires many bullets while a huge directional laser clears the arena. Weave through slow bullets, head for batteries, and stay out of the laser's path. The laser tracks slowly.
  5. Destruction of All Ranges: Similar to God's Full Range but with an added slow-moving green reticle targeting you for a more powerful shot. Keep moving and prioritize batteries.
  6. Homing Nightmares: Similar to God's Missiles, with a separate targeting reticle. Keep moving and use the same strategies as God's Missiles.

Strategy:

  • Focus on removing spawned batteries as quickly as possible, utilizing the brief iframes.
  • When batteries are removed, use the iframes to reposition or avoid incoming attacks.
  • For laser attacks, try to clear batteries from one side of the arena to the other to create safe zones.
  • In bullet-heavy attacks, weave between projectiles while moving towards the batteries.
  • Do not get cornered, especially during laser attacks that track slowly.
  • The reticles in Destruction of All Ranges and Homing Nightmares can generally be ignored if you maintain constant movement and prioritize battery removal.
  • Progression to the next stage of the game.
  • Completion of the main story objectives related to God.
