Guide to finding all the Diamonds and the Power Star in Stage 12: Briny Bowl Swimming Hole in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Includes tips for avoiding Cheep-Cheeps and using the bird.
Alright, welcome to Stage 12: Briny Bowl Swimming Hole! This stage is all about navigating the water and using the environment to your advantage. Let's dive in and grab all those shiny things!
Walkthrough
- 1You'll start in the water. Head straight forward and then swim towards the right side of the area. You'll see three leaves floating there. The first Diamond is hidden in the leaf furthest out in front. Just swim over and pluck it, but keep an eye out for those pesky Cheep-Cheeps swimming around – try to avoid them!
- 2Next, swim towards the corner of the area. You'll find a blue pipe. Enter it, and you'll climb up a wooden staircase. Once you reach the top, the staircase will sink back down into the water. Drop back down into the water yourself, and you'll see that the sunken staircase has now made a new Diamond accessible. Grab Diamond #2!
- 3Now, make your way towards the red pipe. You'll need to get yourself positioned against the brick section of the bridge. The bird that flies around will eventually destroy the bricks for you. This can take a little patience, so just hang in there. Once the bricks are gone, turn left. You'll notice a gap in the bridge. Carefully drop down into the area below. You'll land on a wooden block that has a lever at the end. Pull this lever, and the block will float up, making the third and final Diamond accessible.
- 4After grabbing Diamond #3, drop back down. You'll need to pluck an invisible leaf to find the Golden Mushroom. Once you have that, head for the Green Pipe. This pipe leads to a small dry area where the Power Star is waiting. Collect it to finish the stage!
Pixel Toad Location:
- To find Pixel Toad, use the red pipe to surface. Then, get the birds to destroy the bricks on the bridge. Sink back down to the bottom where there's a gap in the bridge and pull the switch to make the block float. Now, look on the side of that floating block for the Pixel Toad.
Tips
- Be mindful of the Cheep-Cheeps in the water; bumping into them will cost you!
- The bird destroying the bricks can be a bit slow, so be patient and stay close enough for it to target the bricks.
- Don't forget to look for the invisible leaf after getting the third Diamond – that's where the Golden Mushroom is!
