Explore Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Deadly Dungeons for treasure and bonus fate stones. Learn how to find these no-time-limit areas and their potential rewards.

While not a "bonus" area in the traditional sense, Deadly Dungeons in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War offer a chance to acquire valuable treasure and items. Unlike other bonus areas, these dungeons have no time limit, but they are filled with enemies and traps, requiring extreme caution. Many players enter these dungeons solely to find keys and then exit, but exploring them further can yield significant rewards.

It is actually possible to obtain additional bonus fate stones from any of the Deadly Dungeons in this game. While the chance is very small, obtaining these stones can grant extra power. In rare instances, a Margwa underboss will appear in a hexagonal area within the dungeon. A fate stone will be present near the Margwa, and the player who touches it will receive a random fate. It is even possible to encounter multiple Margwas and multiple stones in the same dungeon, though the odds are slim and decrease with fewer players. Therefore, it is highly recommended to explore every Deadly Dungeon, especially when playing with a team.

Important notes regarding the Bonus Fates:

  • It is possible to encounter multiple Margwas in one Dungeon (up to three in rare instances). In these rare instances, the fate stones will always contain the same fate.
  • You do not actually have to kill the Margwa to get the bonus fate. You can touch the fate stone and leave if you wish.
  • Though the bonus fate stone is specific and can be determined by its markings, it is still randomly generated. Competent or high-level players may consider skipping the awarded fate or giving it to a less experienced player.

Since the number of rooms in each dungeon is dependent on the number of players in your party, it is impossible to provide a map or pinpoint the exact location of bonus fate stones. Instead, here are the locations of each Deadly Dungeon:

  1. In the Wild after round 4 - After crossing the spikes and going through the bottleneck area, keep heading north and bearing to the left. You will eventually come upon a cave-like area on the left-hand side. Go into the Cave to enter the Crypts of Chamorro.
  2. After the Abandoned Temple - This dungeon can be accessed via the Wild Portal after round 36 (requiring 1 key) or through the portal after round 4 (requiring 2 keys). Note: If you access the Room of Fate prior to round 20, the round 36 Wild portal will not be available. After passing the Abandoned Temple, continue north through the locked gate, ascend the tower, and go through the northern door. Continue north, passing a flogger death trap, and then a second flogger trap on your right which contains the Kaboom Room bonus room. Continue north to a cliff area overlooking a river. Drop off and head into the cave on the right-hand side to reach the Terrors of Tarampi.
  3. After go-karting away from the Zombie Elephant - This dungeon can be accessed via the Wild Portal after round 36 (requiring 1 key) or through the portal after round 4 (requiring 3 keys). Note: If you access the Room of Fate prior to round 20, the round 36 Wild portal will not be available. After encountering the first helephant, use a boost to pass him and find some go-karts. Get inside a go-kart and drive northwest to a castle gate, which requires a key. Once inside, stay under the fire-breathing dragon statues and explore the side door on the right. Pick up the treasure, then drop into the hole to reach Grottes De La Dorta.
  4. During the climb to the Room of Fate - After crossing the narrow bridge to get to the blue Altar of Fate, you will notice a cave on the left-hand side of the altar. Drop inside to enter L'air du Ayers.
