Alright, so you've made it to the Dark Wood arena, and honestly, it's pretty atmospheric. It'll probably remind you of that old Sleepy Hollow story with how spooky it looks, especially at night. The map itself is a big circle with a stone platform in the center. It's not too tricky to get around, which is good because you'll need to keep moving.

Now, the real challenge here is the "Spectral Hounds of Dark Wood" round. These aren't your regular zombies; they're ghost versions of the hellhounds from earlier games. They swarm you like crazy and are super fast. When you take them down, they do this annoying bright blue flash, kinda like ghosts from a water temple. Most of the regular zombies will pop out from those tree stump things in the middle of the map.

But wait, there's more! This arena throws a curveball at you towards the end of a round: an Underboss. Yep, it's the Big Bad Wolf, looking like he's been hitting the gym. He's big and hits hard, but don't sweat it too much. My best advice is to hang back a bit and deal with the regular zombies first until they stop spawning. Once it's just you and the wolf, unload everything you've got. Just a heads-up, if you take too long to finish him off, he'll start healing, and he might even summon a ghost dog to mess with you. The round only ends when he's down.

LEVEL STRATEGY

A lot of players get stuck thinking they have to hug the edges of the map because of the four hills. That's not quite right. The only real obstacles are these signs on the hills. You actually have way more space to maneuver than you think. When those spectral hounds show up, prioritize them. You absolutely need to keep moving across the map to avoid getting cornered and mauled. Camping here is a terrible idea because the spawn points are so close together. Your best bet is to try and stay near the center of the map, so you don't get pinned in the corners. It's all about running and gunning. Grab any items and vehicles you can find to use as cover against those swarms.
