Navigate the treacherous Bloodpool arena in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War from rounds 41-44. Learn strategies for dealing with Meatballs and Blood Riser zombies to survive.
Alright, welcome back to the Bloodpool! It's pretty much the same place as DOA2, but they've thrown in a few more obstacles to make things a bit trickier. You probably already know this because as soon as round 41 hit, that challenge round "Spaghetti and..." popped up. Yep, it's MEATBALLS again, and they're ready to explode on contact.
NOTE: Just like in DOA2, on round 41, you'll see a stash of nukes on the far right side of the map, up the eastern wall. You can grab them by wall-dashing. It's easy to spot them in either FPM or the traditional view. You might remember a Fido/Siegebot mech back then, but it's not here now, so you only need one speed boost for the nukes.
LEVEL STRATEGY
Warning - This is where most players meet their end.
The blood riser zombies are super fast and will corner you in a flash if you're not watching the whole map. You'll need to be able to weave around them. If you're playing solo, having Furious Feet is almost a must. If you're with a team, make sure at least one person has it to help keep everyone alive. For the meatball challenge round, do what you did in DOA2: back away from them, keep firing, and change directions often. Try to stick to the outer walls. In DOA2, meatballs only spawned on dry land, which was easy to manage. This time, they'll drop anywhere and everywhere.
Once you get past round 41, you'll start facing the blood risers. They're your worst nightmare in this arena. A really helpful tip is that way fewer of them spawn near the side with the waterfall. Stick close to that side as much as you can. If you're playing with 4 players, three of you can camp in the area mentioned while one player (ideally with Furious Feet) runs around to group up all the zombies. Be careful though, even when camping, enemies can still sneak up on you from behind. If you're going to camp, everyone needs to be fully committed.
If you're playing solo, DO NOT try camping on dry land. Head into the middle to grab any treasures or goodies when it's safe. Round 44, the final round in this arena, gets even tougher with smoke coming off the waterfall. It's still safer to stay near the waterfall edge, but this arena is definitely the big roadblock before the Mamaback.
