Learn how to get the green puzzle piece in Braid's World 1-1. This guide explains the lever, the enemy, and the key to finally grab that piece!

Alright, so you've just stepped into World 1-1! Right when you enter, take a look to your right. You'll see an enemy take a nasty fall into a spike pit – poor guy. Beyond that pit is a green platform with a lever, and even further right, there's a door. Behind that door is the green puzzle piece you're after. Now, here's a little secret: to the left, there's a hole too small for Tim to fit into, but it holds the key to that door.

Here’s the trick to snagging that piece:

1. First, climb up the ladder.
2. Now, carefully drop down between the two platforms. You want to land right on the platform with the lever.
3. Pull that lever.
4. Immediately rewind time back to when you first entered the level.

When you rewind, you'll see that enemy who fell earlier? He won't fall this time. Instead, he'll land safely on the green platform you just activated. He'll then walk left, and guess what? He'll grab the key for you! Since he's so helpful, you can now stab him in the back (or, you know, just bounce on his head) to steal the key. Now you can walk across that green platform, hit the lever again, and head straight for the door. Grab that puzzle piece!

One cool thing about this piece is that it's green, just like other green objects in the game. Once you've got it, it's yours for good, no matter how much you rewind. So, congrats on getting your first piece!
