    Start Level Eight. To your right is an Evil Potion; the right path is a dead end. Go left and climb the platform. Do not try to jump across the ledge below.

    Once on the platform, go left. Watch out for loose slabs.

    On the left, you will encounter a guard, a switch, and spikes. Prince meets Linger, a smart enemy who waits for you to make a move.

    To defeat Linger:
    1. Move one step forward. When he strikes, move backward to evade. As soon as his strike finishes, move forward again and strike.

    Alternatively, move forward, block his strike, and counterattack. Keep this up, and he will move backward with each block, eventually falling into a spike pit or dying.
  • Press the switch to open the gate on your left and jump across.
  • In the next screen, you see a potion below and a switch to open the gate you came from. Go to the ledges on the left and climb down.
  • At the bottom, get past the cutter. In the next screen, jump over the ground-level spikes and go right to find the level door.
  • To find the switch, head right, evade spikes, and continue until you meet a green guard. Defeat him and go right.
  • Take the potion in the next screen if needed. You will see another green guard on a platform. Walk slowly underneath the platform to avoid detection.
  • After walking across, jump to the right and climb the series of ledges, then jump back onto the left platform with the guard. Hold SHIFT.
  • Before fighting the guard, note a ledge with a potion above if needed. Surprise the guard, who should be facing away.
  • Activate the switch. Run and jump across the gate on the left. You'll see two cutters and a switch above the first one. This switch only opens the gate you came from. Both gates are controlled by the switch on the guard's platform, so you must rush.
  • After passing the gate with the cutter, you'll reach another closing gate. Run and jump across the loose slab at the end to make it in time.
  • In the next screen, there's a trap and a ledge above. Run and jump to the platform on the left. Above this ledge is a potion and another unreachable platform (dead end).
  • When you jump from the left platform, watch out for a loose slab.
  • In the next screen, you'll see an orange guard and a cutter. Defeat the guard and proceed left.
  • Activate the switch, but be aware of the trap beside it. Jump over the trap and jump towards the gate on the left.
  • Inside this gate are two cutters placed close together. Timing is crucial.
  • Once past the cutters, activate the level switch and carefully step back to the cutters. Do not run.
  • You will find an open gate to exit. If you get stuck, the mouse from the Princess's scene will activate the switch for you. Climb down and go for the level door, avoiding spikes. Level Eight is completed.
