Black Book Part 3 walkthrough covering Bluefin, Volcano Hideout, and boss fights like The Kraken and The Hellspawn.

Bluefin

In Bluefin, you can purchase various items from shops:

• Weapon Shop: Iron Sword (700), Forged Sword (3000), Golden Sword (1250)
• Armor Shop: Bronze Armor (350), Iron Armor (1250), Iron Helmet (500), Iron Shield (750)
• Item Shop: Herb (10), Turboherb (250), Potato Juice (500), Antidote (100), Honey Drops (100), Wyvern Powder (100), Rope (100)

To progress, speak to the pirate in the club (middle building, northern edge). He directs you to his friend in the bar. After speaking to the friend, you receive Doubloons. Take these to Pirate Adams in the inn, who trades them for a Dirty Magazine. Return this to Pirate Bill at the bar to receive a hunk of Gold.

Take the gold to the locksmith in the town square (southeastern booth along the coast) to get a Golden Key. Use this key on the bouncer for the private club to gain entry and speak to the pirate captain. You will learn that Anders is also in town, having befriended the pirates.

The pirate captain will give you the key to the volcano hideout if you recover his treasure buried east of Wester. You must travel on foot, as warp effects are disabled. Return to Wester, exit the town, and head east into the desert. Locate a darker mountain and step on the area just south of it to find the Pirate Soda. Return to Wester to save, then take the boat back to Bluefin, where an attack will commence.

The Kraken

The Kraken is a boss with physical attacks that deal significant damage but do not inflict status ailments. It hits harder than Harry the Cave Troll, so liberal healing is necessary. Use normal attacks and conserve mana for Healios. Defeating The Kraken yields a Magic Key.

Upon returning to Bluefin, go to the private club. The pirate captain reveals the Magic Key is for the volcano hideout and that The Kraken stole it. She knew the pirate soda would provoke The Kraken. After this, heal at the inn and save at the church before proceeding.

For the _Well Educated_ achievement, find two books in the church (western side), two in the inn (eastern wall rooms), and two in the private club (either side of the pirate captain's throne).

Volcano Hideout

The Volcano Hideout is northwest of Bluefin. Take either of the two bridges west of the town; both paths loop and lead to the entrance. Inside, follow the path and collect items from chests: a Turboherb and Honey Drops from the first two. Continue through the lava to stairs, descend, and cross a bridge. At the path split, go north, then west, and ascend stairs to find a Golden Sword and a Rope. Return down, go east, then east again on the southern path. Take the next northern path to find four chests containing a Rope, a Turboherb, an Antidote, and a Wyvern Powder. Head south and follow the path until it splits again; go southeast to find an Iron Sword.

To reach the next section, return to the first bridge, head south, cross the western bridge, and proceed west. At the screen's edge, go south into a new area. Follow the path. At the north-south split, climb the northern lava ship for a Rope. Go south. On the second ship, find two chests: one with a Turboherb, the other with 1000 Gold.

Continue south and descend stairs. Head north to find a demon on a platform. This demon, sent by the Dark Knight, guards the shield, just as Harry guarded the helmet. The boss battle begins after dialogue.

The Hellspawn

The Hellspawn has a fireball spell that deals about twice the damage of its physical attacks. Maintain health at double the damage of its physical strikes. It also possesses a healing spell. Upon defeat, it drops the Rusty Hero's Shield.

After defeating The Hellspawn, return to Bluefin to heal and save. Enemies become tougher south of this point; aim for at least level twenty before venturing further. You are then ready for Crescent Cove.

Crescent Cove

In Crescent Cove, shops offer:
