There are a total of thirteen categories for Vehicles in Battlefield 4. Two of these categories are Stationary weapons (weapons that are fixed in one place). These vehicles will only be available on select maps and game modes. Most vehicles allow a number of passengers, some of whom can control weapons mounted on the vehicle.
