Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weaknesses: The Megapithecus is vulnerable to ranged attacks, especially from high-damage weapons or powerful tamed creatures. Its armor can be bypassed with concentrated fire.
• Armor: The Megapithecus has significant armor, making melee attacks less effective unless you have extremely powerful creatures.
• Minions: It summons smaller apes that can overwhelm unprepared players.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Approach and Initial Engagement: As you enter the arena, the Megapithecus will likely be passive or slowly approach. Smaller apes will begin to spawn. Your priority here is to thin out the smaller apes before they overwhelm you and your team.
2. Phase 2: Aggressive Assault: The Megapithecus becomes much more aggressive, using powerful swipes and ground slams. It will continue to summon reinforcements. This is where managing the adds becomes crucial while still dealing damage to the boss.
3. Phase 3: Desperation: As its health gets lower, the Megapithecus may become more frantic, using its abilities more frequently. Keep your distance and continue to focus fire, prioritizing any newly spawned minions that get too close.

Strategy:

• Dino Loadout: Bring a strong team of reapers, therizinosaurus, or even gigas if you're feeling confident. Ensure they have high melee damage and health. For ranged support, consider using powerful Tek creatures or even a well-equipped player on a fast flyer like an enforcer or a snow owl. Bring plenty of healing items like Medkits and Stimberries.
• Ranged Combat: Players should focus on ranged attacks. Bring a high-quality Fabricated Sniper Rifle, a Rocket Launcher, or even a Tek Rifle. Aim for the Megapithecus's head for critical hits.
