Walkthrough
  1. 1
Enter Island Palace. Use the Red Magic Jar from the Iron Knuckle statue to refill your magic and life meters. Take the elevator down and cast Shield.
  2. 2
Head right to encounter a Doomknocker. Dodge its boomerang-like spiked club and use Downthrust. Be wary of its jumps. It drops 100 EXP. Defeat the Myu (5 EXP) and then a Blue Parutamu (70 EXP).
  3. 3
In the next room, defeat Wosus and Myus, being careful not to break too many blocks.
  4. 4
Run through the next room quickly to avoid Fiery Moas and falling blocks.
  5. 5
In the following room, defeat Myus and a Doomknocker. Use Downthrust on the breakable blocks to find Key #1 and a Treasure Bag (100 EXP).
  6. 6
The next room requires careful navigation of breakable blocks. Cast Jump to make it easier. Avoid freeing the trapped Red Iron Knuckles. Jump over Myus and continue right.
  7. 7
Cross a wide gap to the right. If you miss the jump, you'll need to cast Jump magic to return.
  8. 8
In the next room (outdoors), avoid Fiery Moa flames and defeat a Red Iron Knuckle to get Key #2.
  9. 9
Return left, drop down, and defeat a Red Parutamu (50 EXP). Take the elevator down and go right through the locked door. (Tip: Cast Fairy to fly through locked doors if you don't have a key).
  10. 10
Defeat Bots and a Mau (5 EXP each), which are wolf-head statues that shoot projectiles.
  11. 11
Carefully hop over lava pits, defeating or avoiding Bots. Defeat a Red Iron Knuckle in the center to get Key #3.
  12. 12
In the next room, cast Shield. Defeat another Red Iron Knuckle, then the Blue Iron Knuckle. The Blue Iron Knuckle throws swords high and low; use jump attacks on its head. It takes many hits and yields 150 EXP. This enemy guards the Raft.
  13. 13
Backtrack to the elevator. If you have enough magic, cast Jump and strike the Mau statue to the left of the elevator to reveal a Red Magic Jar. Deal with incoming Maus.
  14. 14
Continue left. In the next room, defeat Red Iron Knuckles and Wosus. Ignore the elevator and keep moving left.
  15. 15
In the following room, hop up breakable blocks and take the upper route, defeating Maus. Find Key #4 below. Use Downthrust to break blocks and obtain it.
  16. 16
Break blocks with your sword to create steps to exit, while dealing with endless Maus. Cast Jump if needed.
Tips
  • Before entering Island Palace, ensure you have Attack Level 4, Magic Level 5, Life Level 6, 6 blocks in your Magic Meter, 6 blocks in your Life Meter, and the Shield, Jump, Life, and Fairy spells. Your inventory should include the Candle, Handy Glove, and Hammer.
  • The Red Magic Jar at the entrance is crucial for refilling your meters.
  • Downthrust is effective against Doomknockers but not against Blue Parutamu or Iron Knuckles due to their helmets or armor.
  • Jump magic can help clear gaps and reach higher platforms made of breakable blocks.
  • Blue Iron Knuckles are very tough; be prepared for a prolonged fight and use jump attacks.
  • The Raft is a key item obtained here, useful for future navigation.
  • If you find yourself without a key for a locked door, the Fairy spell allows you to fly through it.
  • 4 Keys
  • Raft
  • EXP for defeating enemies (Doomknocker: 100 EXP, Myu: 5 EXP, Blue Parutamu: 70 EXP, Mau: 5 EXP, Red Iron Knuckle: Varies, Blue Iron Knuckle: 150 EXP)
