Substories are optional mini-dramas in Yakuza Kiwami that help the citizens of Kamurocho. There are 78 in total, and while many offer fights and unique items, none are missable in terms of story completion. All substories can be accessed until the final boss fight.

Initially, substories are unmarked on the map. The CP Reward accessory "Trouble Finder" will mark them with "!". Once a substory begins, subsequent parts will also be marked with "!".

Some substories have prerequisites, such as appearing after others or at specific times of day. If a substory doesn't appear when expected, try completing other available substories. A few substories require Haruka to be present and a specific time of day.
