Exploring Kamurocho

Navigate the vibrant streets of Kamurocho, Yakuza Kiwami's central hub. Discover its districts, alleys, and key landmarks to get the most out of your adventure.

Kamurocho is the heart and soul of the Yakuza series, and in Yakuza Kiwami, you'll spend most of your time exploring its bustling streets. Think of it as Tokyo's famous Kabukicho district, brought to life in the game. You'll be doing a lot of everything here: sightseeing, eating, enjoying entertainment, and, of course, getting into plenty of fights.

The city layout can seem a bit confusing at first, with its web of streets and alleys. Here's a breakdown to help you get your bearings:

Main North-South Streets:

• Showa St. is the main street running west to east at the very south of the map.
• Four major streets branch off northward from Showa St.:
• Tenkaichi St. (far west, recognizable by its red gate)
• Nakamachi St. (wide, central street)
• Pink St. (known for its distinctive leggy signage)
• Senryo Ave. (far east)

Alleys:

• Roughly halfway up these main streets, you'll find parallel alleys: Tenkaichi Alley, Nakamichi Alley, and Pink Alley, running between the main streets.

Major East-West Roads:

• All four main streets eventually hit Taihei Blvd., which runs west to east about a third of the way up the map.
• Further north, about another third of the way up, you'll find Shichifuku St.

Key Districts and Areas:

• Between Taihei Blvd. and Shichifuku St., you'll find distinct areas:
• The Theater Square area (west to central).
• The imposing Millennium Tower (dominates the central part of town).
• The Champion District (a small block of alleys on the far east end).
• North of Shichifuku St.:
• The Hotel District (midwest to central).
• Park Blvd. runs east from the Hotel District.
• West Park (north of Park Blvd., known as the homeless area).
• Purgatory (an underground area accessible from West Park).

As you explore, you'll naturally get a feel for the city. Don't be afraid to wander down alleys or check out side streets – that's often where you'll find the most interesting things!
