All of these substories will be available right after you leave Bacchus. This list includes substories you can start in this chapter, but not yet finish, of which there are three.
#1 - The Price of an F-cup
Walk along Pink Street south of Beam and a woman will run up to you asking for help. Agree to go with her, then answer the next question however you wish. When she asks you to drink, refuse three times. Defeat all the bad dudes and you'll get 100,000 yen. Then say "Not a chance" and the man in question will also tell you how to get into the Underground Casino in the ramen shop.
#10 - Dine and Dash
Approach the western Akaushimaru (north end of Tenkaichi St.) and you'll witness the titular dashing. Head east and when you reach Nakamichi St., you'll see his red hat under the "Total Amusement Tower" to the southeast. Approach him and he'll run off again. Head to Tenkaichi Alley and you'll see him in Public Park 3. Approach him again and he'll attack. Beat him down and you'll receive a Toughness Infinity.
#11 - The Price of a Palm-reading
North of Karaokekan is a guy in a suit and a purple shirt. Approach him and he'll offer to read your palm. Agree to hearing more, but then refuse his offer three times. Outside, you'll fight some jerks. You'll intially get 5000 yen. Now, head to Smile Burger and you'll see Mr. Purple Shirt again. Beat him up to get 30,000 yen and a Lifestone.
#12 - The Toll Collector
From the northeast Taxi Stand at Park Blvd., head south down Park Alley and a guy will stop you. Choose to "fight" and you'll face him in the nearby alcove. He's a little more difficult than your average punk, so stay alert. Defeat him and you'll be rewarded with Leech Gloves.
#13 - Pay it Forward
Head to Public Park 3 in Tenkaichi Alley (it has a swingset) and you'll see a drunk guy next to a barrel. Speak to him and he'll ask for Sake. You can find some at the M Store. Hand it over and he'll give you a "Worn-out Coat". Head to Pink Street near Beam and you'll see a homeless guy. Give him the coat to get a "pair of glasses". Now, go to Asia and speak to the guy outside and give him the glasses to get "Super Strength Adhesive Tape". Now you have to wait until Chapter 5 when you get access to Purgatory. In the north middle part of the park area is a guy whose shanty is falling over. Give him the tape to get a "Silver Briefcase". Give this to a salaryman in the little nook in Park Blvd. to get a Swiss Watch as your final reward. I'd advise selling it at Ebisu Pawn for a nice chunk of change.
#14 - The Yakuza Hater
At the west end of Shichifuku St. is Children's Park. Next to that park is a man kneeling on the ground. Speak to him and he'll attack. Knock him down, then fight the next three guys that show up. You'll get a Red Jewel as a reward.
#15 - The Bouncer
From Don Quijote, head east along Showa St. You'll come across a lady in a white dress. She'll ask you to guard her club from some jerks. Agree to do so and the jerks will show up, right on schedule. Beat up these four guys. Answer the next question however you wish and you'll get an Italian Scarf.
#16 - Collection Call
Just outside of Vincent, your phone will ring about a collections call. Regardless of how you respond, you'll be directed to the end of West Park, in the northeast corner. Head there and talk to the guy in the suit. Beat him down and take his Sakura Storm katana.
#17 - Bump and Scam
Just east of the M Store at the north end of town are three toughs marching in step together. Bump into them and refuse to pay their shakedown money. Beat them down.
#18 - Bump and Scam: Revenge
After completing #17, leave and return to the area to find them again. Bump again and beat them again.
#19 - Bump and Scam: Three Strikes
After completing #18, leave and return to the area to find five guys this time. Bump and beat. You'll get a Colorful Parasol this time.
#20 - Bump and Scam: Epilogue
After completing #19, return to the area to find them one more time. Agree to walk with them. One more time, demolish the five guys.
#21 - Con-tacts
From Ebisu Pawn, walk east and then in front of a crouching gentleman. You'll step on his contact lens. Refuse to pay, then beat him down. Now leave the area and return to find him there again. Beat him down once more and you'll receive 20,000 yen.
#22 - The Little Match Girl
At the entrance of Pink Street is a lady selling matches. You'll automatically buy one and speak to her. Return to her later and she'll need you to watch her matches for her while she steps away. You can pick any of the options presented. After that's done, head to Public Park 3 near Tenkaichi Alley to find her again. She'll give you a Celebrity Perfume.
#23 - The Crane Game
Enter the Club SEGA on Nakamichi St. and you'll overhear a businessman complain about the UFO Catcher. Get him a normal-sized white "Bunchan the Java Sparrow" and you'll get 10,000 yen. The man will leave, so leave yourself and come back. When you return, the man will be looking for the Woo Fam series, so he'll want "Woo-kun", "Woo Papa", and "Woo Mama". They look like pastel-colored axolotls. Get all three for him to get 30,000 yen. Leave and return again and you'll be asked to get him "Jumbo Chestnut", after which you'll pocket 50,000 yen. Once you leave, you'll have to beat up a guy. You'll get Locker Key I3 as a reward.
#24 - Prodigal Son
From the north side of Millennium Tower, go up the northward street leading to Park Blvd. and you'll come across an old man who thinks you're his son. Humor him ("D..Dad?") and he'll ask you to meet him in Children's Park on Shichifuku St. Talk to the guy in the park and say "Seems that way." Now you have to go to the Champion District, in the northwest corner. Speak to the old man, then head to West Park. Annihilate the scum and you'll get the old ma
