Chapter 6 - Father and Child

With Haruka back, Kiryu now has to hit the streets for more info. As he leaves, he's approached by one of the Florist's informants. Your objective is to head back that way. In the meantime, six more Substories popped up, and you can complete up to 53 before continuing the story. Furthermore, you can get all MesuKing Cards by now and all but one of the Locker Keys. Head back to Purgatory.

As you head towards the underground entrance, Sotaro Komaki will stop you. He will ask to train you. Agree to his request and you'll start learning some cool moves from him. Each of his trainings are a Substory, and you can potentially go through all of them at once, but there you can get at least four to start with. Just follow his instructions. You'll need to end up bringing him a Wooden Katana and several paintings from the Coliseum. Oh, by the way the Coliseum is now open for fight tournaments, so get involved.

NOTE: Once Komaki stops training you and says he's "making preparations", it means he's waiting for Majima to be active again. If Majima is idle in West Park, then you can't proceed with Komaki's training until Chapter 8.

When you're done with all this, head back to The Florist's mansion. You'll learn about The Florist's son. Time for a plot cul-de-sac unrelated to the main plot! Your next mission is to head to the Batting Center. On the way out, you'll run into Tamura, apparently alive after all. After you talk to him, make your way to the Batting Center. You'll face Takashi, so beat him down. Afterwards, you'll face his gang: B-King. Now, your destination is Club Debolah, in Theater Square. Head inside and up to the balcony level. You'll face a bunch of yakuza. Watch the one with the knife, because he's a bit more difficult.

When you're finished, head back to Purgatory. The Florist will hand you a Goemon Dagger and you'll also be given access to the Fukuma Casino. You can now head back to Serena and check out the drunken slump of Date at the bar. After talking to him about his current woe, head to Public Park 3 to talk to his daughter, Saya. She'll tell you her tale, and you'll now be tasked over to Shellac in the Champion District to look for Shotaro. The bartender will ask you a question to determine whether he'll tell you where Shotaro is. The answer is "Yamazaki 25-year-old". Now, head to Stardust. Defeat Takuda and his cronies while fighting alongside Date. Takuda is pretty nasty with his knife, so watch out. Once you're done, leave the club and head to the Hanagata Building on Pink Street. You'll give the goofiest dynamic entry in the game and face Shota and his scum. Shota is yet another knife fighter, so be careful. Defeat him to end this chapter.
