Complete walkthrough for Akiyama's substories in Yakuza: Dead Souls, including Yakker FTW!, Big Daddy Part 1, and Big Daddy Part 2. Find all objectives and rewards.

Akiyama's substories become available after you've obtained the medicine for Hana from Doc Emoto's clinic.

Chapter 3 Substories

Yakker FTW!

Partner Allowed

You'll see a man sitting next to the entrance of the Yoshida Batting Center. He'll ask you if you know about something called 'Yakker'. Select "No, what's Yakker?" (top option) and he'll explain that it's a site where you can talk about whatever you want in up to 256 characters. He tells you about a woman who mentioned the zombies first and how she's stuck in the Quarantine Zone, and that some people are going to save her. He asks if you want her account name, so select "Yeah, thanks." (top option). Her account will say she's holed up on Tenkaichi Street, so head underground through the elevator. When you reach the bottom of Tenkaichi Street, the dude who told you about the lady is there and introduces himself as Shimizu while pointing a gun at you. He then opens his Yakker feed to see that she's apparently naked and in Theater Square. On the way back there, you'll see a pudgy man near Gelateria Kamurocho and he heads to Theater Square too. In the northwest of the Theater Square quarantine zone, you'll see two jokesters laughing about all the people looking for the chick. They run off toward the basement of the Millennium Tower, which is where you should go too. Before you enter, you'll be interrupted by the three Shibata brothers who threaten you over the woman but Shimizu shows up and breaks it all up. When you get into the basement, you'll see Shimizu who is excitedly waiting for you. Select "Go search." (top option) and head forward through the basement. As you two move forward, you'll meet the pudgy guy again who tells you not to shoot. Keep heading forward and down to the next level and you'll see the laughing guys again. Keep moving forward even more and you'll see the Shibata brothers again and they'll tell you that she's in the DVD shop up ahead, and the entrance is surrounded by zombies. They say they're out of ammo so it's up to you to take them out. Head through the door and you'll see the horde protecting the door. After they're gone, everyone meets together and Shimizu opens the door as everyone is waiting in anticipation. When the door opens, they see a naked... man? Everyone realizes it was too good to be true and the guy explains that he's been pretending to be a girl and decided to take his clothes off to fulfill one part of the promise he made. He gives you ¥50,000 to make up for the wild goose chase and Shimizu tells the group about another Yak claiming to be three blond busty babes running around naked. The whole group decides to look for them while Akiyama decides to tap out.

1. Talk to the guy near the entrance to Yoshida Batting Center and select "No, what's Yakker?" (top option), then "Yeah, thanks." (top option).
2. Get to the south end of Tenkaichi Street.
3. Go back up to the northwest part of the Theater Square Quarantine Zone.
4. Head to the Millennium Tower basement entrance and into the basement.
5. Speak to Shimizu and select "Go search." (top option).
6. Continue on a linear path through the underground, going down the stairs.
7. Continue past the three dudes standing together.
8. Kill the zombie horde.

Substory end - 3000 experience and ¥50,000.

Big Daddy Part 1

Near the wall of Theater Square, you'll see a woman and a Self Defense Force member talking. She tells Akiyama about how she's waiting for her boyfriend to return from prison because she's pregnant, but he's stuck in the Quarantine Zone. The woman, Kazumi, tells Akiyama that Kendo, her boyfriend, was supposed to meet her at Theater Square and that he should be there still. Heading through the underground and reaching Theater Square in the Quarantine Zone, you meet up with Kendo who needs your help in getting out of there. Select "Yeah." (top option) and he'll join you as a partner. Head through the basement and the substory ends.

1. Speak to the woman talking to the soldier near the Theater Square Gate.
2. Reach Theater Square in the Quarantine Zone.
3. Speak to Kendo and select "Yeah." (top option).
4. Head through the Millennium Tower basement.

Substory end - 1,000 experience.

Big Daddy Part 2

Finish Big Daddy Part 1. Part 2 immediately starts with some dialogue between Kendo and Kazumi, and Kendo pleads to help Akiyama so he can become a better role model for his coming child. Suddenly, Gary Buster Holmes shows up and offers to take Kendo in to train him a bit. Head to Gary's Boot Camp and you'll get a tutorial on how partners work, giving you the Perfect Partner Memo. Speak to Gary and he'll give some more explanation as well as the Perfect Partner 2 Memo. Speak to Kendo and he'll ask if you want to go into the Quarantine Zone. Select "Yeah, sounds good." (option 2) and you'll be sent into the entrance to the basement with the goal of killing all zombies in the room (don't forget the ones that already look dead!). When you come back up, a moneylender named Nomoto will bump into you two and will mention a friend of Kendo's named Mitani who apparently caused him to go to jail. Nomoto says Mitani owes him ¥2,000,000 and should eventually come crawling to Kendo. He then leaves and Kendo gets a phone call from Kazumi who says Mitani is shaking her down for money right them. He hurries down to her job at Nakamichi Street, and you can find them just northwest of Don Quijote. Apparently Mitani was desperate and roughed up Kazumi a bit so she told the collector where he is. She reveals that Mitani is the father of the baby and Kendo takes Akiyama to the Children's Park and explains the situation to him: Kendo liked Kazumi but she didn't know, Kazumi got knocked up by Mitani, Mitani beat someone up after a night of drinks, Kendo took the blame after a cop showed up, Mitani left with another girl, Kendo proposed to Kazumi. Then Kendo finally gets the call from Mitani.
