The rating stat appears on every weapon and curio in warhammer 40000 darktide. It signifies the item's quality, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses. As you progress, items with higher power ratings will boost the percentages and bars of a curio or weapon's stats, making them perform better in missions and allowing you to engage with more challenging content.

The game features a reward system tied to player progression and item ratings. As you advance, the armory store will offer weapons with progressively better ratings, enabling you to purchase and upgrade them further. A higher personal rating increases the likelihood of receiving higher-rated items from the Gift of the Emperor. While crafting can often surpass the base stats of even fully upgraded items, items not rolling as white-quality may require this enhancement. Crafting and Rating Improvements

Crafting is a primary method to further enhance the rating and power of your weapons and curios:

• Perks grant a minimum of 10 power, with increases based on the stat quality of the perk on your item.
• Blessings provide approximately 35 power, with the amount scaling with the blessing's quality and modifiers.

When you Consecrate an item at the blessing of the Omnisiah crafting table, you also improve the item's stat modifiers. The consecration confirm button, located at the bottom right of the screen, offers a rough estimation of potential rolls before you commit. Additionally, aspects of crafting like refining blessings and items allow you to alter the actual modifiers on your weapon without upgrading its quality. This enables you to customize your weapon to suit your playstyle and min-max its performance, which in turn affects its rating. Note that refining blessings will lock the other slot from being modified.

At the time of writing, the maximum rating stat appears to be around the 520 mark. This is achievable through modifications on Transcendent orange quality weapons, combined with the base amount of perks and blessings, and the maximum rolls of their stats. This provides a benchmark for players aiming to acquire or upgrade weapons.
