Kraken Boss Guide

Master the Kraken boss fight in Visions of Mana! Learn its attacks, weaknesses, and the best strategies to emerge victorious with our comprehensive boss guide.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weak to Fire.
• Focus attacks on tentacles for safer damage.
• Head can be attacked, but risky due to other attacks.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Tentacle Assault
   The Kraken will primarily use its tentacles for attacks. Watch for red markers indicating attack zones.
2. Phase 2: Elemental Barrage & Reinforcements
   The Kraken uses Bubble Breath and Ink Barrage. It will also summon Tezlas (jellyfish enemies). This is a good time to use Class Strikes.

Strategy:

• The fight takes place on a ship, limiting your arena space. Constant movement is key.
• Tentacle Swipe: Dodge the side indicated by the red marker.
• Double Tentacle Crash: Avoid the two red markers in front of the Kraken.
• Tentacle Slam: Similar to Double Tentacle Crash, but only one tentacle slams down.
• Bubble Breath: Stay to the sides of the ship, near the tentacles, to easily dodge this.
• Ink Barrage: Avoid the marked landing spots. Standing in ink causes minor damage-over-time and interrupts actions.
• Diagonal Tentacle Slam: Watch for the diagonal red marker and move accordingly.
• Summon Enemies (Tezlas): When the Kraken summons these jellyfish enemies, use a Class Strike if available to clear them quickly so you can refocus on the Kraken.
• Ship Capsize: The Kraken will grab the ship's front and tilt it. You'll be knocked back, and the Kraken's attacks may speed up briefly. Stay alert.
• Use fire-based attacks, like Val's Fire Saber as a Rune Knight, for extra damage.
• Activate the Luna Globe (Moon Vessel) to slow down time, giving you more opportunities to hit the Kraken's tentacles.
• After most tentacle attacks, the Kraken will leave its tentacles on the ground, creating an opening to attack.
