The Hollow Night's Edge - First Encounter

Your journey often begins at the fringes of the Hollow Night, a distorted reflection of the real world. This initial area serves as a tutorial and introduction to the game's core mechanics.

• Objective: Reach the Central Plaza.
• Path: From the starting point, proceed straight through the crumbling alleyway. You'll encounter your first few Void enemies – standard Void Grunts. These are easily dispatched with basic combos.
• Item Location: Just before the first wide-open area, check behind the overturned street vendor cart on the left. You'll find a Small HP Potion.
• Strategy: In the open area, you'll face a group of three Void Grunts and one Void Lurker. Prioritize the Lurker as it can inflict a temporary "Slow" debuff. Use your character's projectile attacks to keep them at bay, then close in for melee.
• Secret: After clearing the enemies, look for a cracked wall on the right side of the plaza. A well-placed Force Function (e.g., Hyde's Black Orb) can shatter it, revealing a hidden alcove containing a Defense Up Shard.
• Progression: Continue through the archway leading to the Central Plaza.

Central Plaza - Echoes of the Past

The Central Plaza is a hub of activity and often a point of no return for early quests. Be thorough here.

• Objective: Investigate the strange energy signature.
• Path: Upon entering, you'll immediately be confronted by a new enemy type: the Void Sentinel. These armored Voids have higher HP and can block attacks.
• Strategy: To defeat Void Sentinels, break their guard with a charged attack or a series of rapid light attacks before unleashing your full combo. Avoid their sweeping axe attacks.
• Item Locations:
  • On the left side, near the broken fountain, you'll find a Stamina Boost Gem.
  • To the right, behind a cluster of abandoned cars, is a chest containing 500 EX Points.
• Side Quest Trigger: Speak to the distressed NPC, "Wandering Merchant Kael," near the plaza's exit. He will offer the side quest "Lost Shipment," which involves retrieving 3 Sparkling Crystals from the nearby "Abandoned Warehouse" area. Accepting this quest now will save you backtracking later.
• Progression: The energy signature emanates from the large, ornate gate at the far end of the plaza. Interact with it to proceed.

Abandoned Warehouse - The Grimy Depths

This area is a maze of crates and narrow corridors, perfect for ambushes. Keep your guard up.

• Objective: Locate the source of the Void infestation and, if accepted, retrieve the Sparkling Crystals.
• Path: From the Central Plaza, the warehouse entrance is ajar to the right. The first room is a large storage area.
• Enemy Encounter: You'll face multiple Void Grunts and Void Lurkers here. Be mindful of enemies dropping from above the stacked crates.
• Item Locations:
  • Sparkling Crystal 1: On top of the tallest stack of crates in the first large room. Use a character with a high jump or an aerial special move to reach it.
  • Sparkling Crystal 2: In the second corridor, behind a destructible wooden barrier. Break the barrier with any strong attack.
  • Sparkling Crystal 3: In the final room, near the boss arena, nestled amongst some discarded machinery.
  • General Loot: Throughout the warehouse, you'll find several smaller crates that can be destroyed for EX Points and occasional Small HP Potions.
• Mini-Boss: As you approach the deepest part of the warehouse, a Void Brute will emerge. This enemy is slow but hits hard. Focus on dodging its heavy swings and counter-attacking during its recovery frames. Characters with quick, multi-hit combos excel here.
• Progression: After defeating the Void Brute and collecting all items (and crystals for the side quest), a previously locked door will open, leading to the next area.

Remember to always check every corner and interact with suspicious objects. The Hollow Night holds many secrets for those diligent enough to seek them out!
