Your friendly guide to beating the final level, Vengeance, in Turok: Evolution. Learn strategies for Phase One, Phase Two, and the epic boss fight against Captain Bruckner!

Vengeance Walkthrough

Alright, so you've made it to the very last level of Turok: Evolution, called "Vengeance." This is where you finally get to face off against Captain Tobias Bruckner and settle things once and for all. Don't worry, I'll walk you through it. You'll have some A.I. allies with you at the start, which is nice.

Phase One

In this first part, your main goal is to destroy three Sleg spawners. These things keep spitting out Sleg Rapiers and Sleg Guards, which are pretty easy to take down with your Minigun. What you want to do is equip a powerful weapon, keep an eye on those spawners floating around, and blast them as soon as you can. Don't get too caught up dealing with the Sleg they spawn; taking out the spawner is your top priority. Just be careful of the explosion when you destroy one – it can hurt you too, but it'll take out any Sleg nearby, which is a nice bonus.

Phase Two

Get ready, because a Purrlin is dropping into the arena! This is where your A.I. buddies might start to struggle. For this fight, I'd recommend using your Minigun, Plasma Cannon, or even the Shotgun. Just unload on the Purrlin. If you need a breather or a tactical advantage, use your teammates as a distraction and get some shots in when the Purrlin isn't looking. If you focus on its weaknesses, this phase should be manageable.

Phase Three

This is it – the big finale! You'll be fighting a Tyrannosaurus rex, with Captain Bruckner himself riding it. This is easily the toughest part of the game. The T. rex is equipped with flamethrowers and miniguns, and its bite is brutal. Honestly, you'll need to use all your weapons here. It can move pretty fast, but thankfully, there are trees around that will slow it down, giving you chances to get some hits in. Here's a pro tip: you can actually use the trees to your advantage. Shooting them so they fall onto the T. rex can sometimes result in an instant kill, but it's tricky since the T. rex will often knock them down as it charges. Good luck!
