Your ultimate guide to Turok Origins' Level Six, 'Treetop Village.' Discover essential items, powerful weapons, and strategies to defeat enemies and find all the keys.

Alright, welcome to Level Six, also known as Treetop Village! This place is packed with new gear and some tricky platforming, so stick with me and we'll get through it. You're going to be picking up some seriously cool new toys here, including the Quad Rocket Launcher and the Alien Weapon. Keep an eye out for enemies like Leapers, Warriors, Warrior Priests, Dimetrodons (both regular and bio-enhanced!), Poachers, Alien Infantry, Campaigner's Soldiers, and the tough Pur-Linn. The terrain is pretty much what it sounds like: houses and huts way up in the trees. Yippee is right!

Before we dive in, let's talk about what you absolutely need to grab. The main goals are the First Key To Level 7, Second Key To Level 7, Third Key To Level 7, and the Sixth Chronoscepter Piece. Along the way, you'll also find 3 Backpacks, 2 Spiritual Invincibilities, and 5 Tek Armors. Stock up!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
You'll start by moving forward and grabbing a bunch of items. Seriously, grab them all – the Mantis fight was no joke, and you'll want every advantage. When you reach the edge, drop down to a platform, then again onto some logs. Carefully jump across these logs, keeping an eye out for Poachers who love to snipe from caves. A Pur-Lin will make a surprise appearance, so be ready to take him down. Keep pushing forward until you spot a hole in the ground. This turns out to be a Warp Portal, which is pretty wild. You'll be doing a lot of platform hopping between these short warp distances.
  2. 2
Next, head down and take out another Pur-Lin. Doing so will activate a fence behind him – go through it and swim across the water. You'll hit land soon, where a bunch of Alien Infantry and Poachers are waiting. Take them all out as you move down the trail. Continue until you reach an island with a tree on it. Behind the waterfall near this tree, look underwater – you should find the Alien Weapon. Once you've got it, swim back to the island and dive underwater again. Look for some large roots sticking out; swim under them, and you'll find an elevator that takes you back up to the village. Weird, right?
  3. 3
Follow the path ahead for about 10-15 minutes. Arm yourself with whatever weapon has plenty of ammo, preferably the Plasma Rifle. If you hear a strange sound, be ready to jump backward to dodge a falling sledgehammer. Just keep moving forward, firing at anything that moves until you reach a Check Point. Thank goodness! From the checkpoint, take a right. You'll find a cottage, and inside it, the First Key To Level 7!
  4. 4
Head back to the Check Point and take the other path (that's left if you're facing away from the cottage). You'll need to do some more pillar jumping. If you nail it, your reward is a big Pur-Lin. After you defeat him, drop down the hole he was near and take out his buddy. Keep going through here until you reach another Warp Portal.
  5. 5
Now, pull out your Mini-Gun and unload on the Dimetrodon in this area, strafing and firing while grabbing ammo. Walk across some ledges and deal with any enemies you encounter. Find a switch and activate it to open a gate. Get ready, because you're about to face three Pur-Lins, one of each type, all in a tight spot! Use the Grenade Launcher here to drain their energy before they can get close. Move past where they were, grabbing any goodies. You'll find yourself in a village area; check the buildings for power-ups if you need them. Keep going until you reach a cave. Inside, you'll find a Save Point – use it! Oh, and there's another Pur-Lin to kill in there too. Once you're done, take a left inside the cave and walk along a thin ledge. This leads to an area with Leapers, so switch to your Assault Rifle to handle them. Go through this tunnel until you emerge outside and find the Second Key To Level 7.
  6. 6
Hop across the gap you're facing and land on the bridge below. Make your way back to the cave you were just in, but this time, go straight instead of taking the left path. Continue until you reach a shack, then go behind it. Look down and drop onto a Life Force pickup. You'll be teleported to another area. This level really loves its warps, doesn't it?
  7. 7
You're now in a cave that's about to be swarmed by tons of Leapers, including a Queen! Here's the plan: First, use the Grenade Launcher to create some breathing room, and second, switch to the Assault Rifle to finish off anyone still standing. After clearing the cave, you'll pop out into a treehouse. Inside, you can grab THE QUAD ROCKET LAUNCHER! YES! After grabbing the ammo, jump down and rejoin the main path. Keep going until you find another shack. This one contains a Warp Portal.
  8. 8
It's another cave! Use whatever weapon you have to kill the enemies inside. Once they're down, equip your Mini Gun and head out of the cave. You'll see why very soon. A gate will lower, and the exit is close. However, dozens of Poachers and Warriors will rush you from the tents. The Assault Rifle is a good choice here, but if you have enough ammo, the Grenade Launcher is fantastic for taking them out quickly. Run over to the bridge and use your Mini Gun on the Dimetrodon there. You'll see the Exit Portal. Dropping down behind it puts you on a ledge. Jump the gap, and you'll find the Sixth Chronoscepter Piece! A vine wall will help you get back up. Man, this level was a marathon!
  9. 9
You'll need the Third Key To Level 7. The source text doesn't explicitly detail finding this key, but it's listed as a major item. Keep exploring the village areas and caves, as it's likely hidden within one of the many buildings or off the beaten path, similar to the other keys.
Tips
  • Always grab ammo and health pickups, especially after tough fights.
  • The Poachers can be deadly from a distance, so try to take them out first or use cover effectively.
  • Don't be afraid to use your most powerful weapons on groups of enemies, especially the Pur-Lins in tight spaces.
  • Pay close attention to the environment for hidden paths and warp points.
