Learn how to defeat the Stratos Diver in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III. This guide covers its weaknesses, Brave Orders, and attack patterns.
Alright, let's tackle the Stratos Diver! This boss can hit pretty hard, but we've got some new tricks up our sleeves that make this fight much more manageable. Think of Juna's Sledgehammer and Kurt's Wind Blade Brave Orders as your new best friends for this entire game.
Stats / Weaknesses:
- Stratos Diver — HP: 34144, Slash: ☆, Thrust: ☆, Pierce: ☆☆, Strike: ☆☆, Elemental Efficacy: E - 160, WA - 120, F - 80, WN - 100
- Item Drop: Heat Up SR
Phases:
- Phase 1: Dealing with the Diver Bits
Start the battle by scanning the Stratos Diver. Immediately activate Juna's Brave Order, Sledgehammer. This boosts your break damage by a massive 300%, which is exactly what we need. Use an S-Craft or two to quickly eliminate the two smaller Diver Bits. This leaves you free to focus solely on the main boss. - Phase 2: Breaking the Stratos Diver
With the Bits gone, keep Juna's Sledgehammer active and start wailing on the Stratos Diver. Use Juna's Gemini Blast to lower its Defense if you can. Your goal here is to get the boss into its Break State as quickly as possible thanks to the Sledgehammer buff. - Phase 3: Unleashing S-Crafts
The moment the Stratos Diver breaks, immediately switch to Kurt's Brave Order, Wind Blade. This applies a -70% Delay to the enemy, giving you a crucial window to act. Now is the time to unleash all your available S-Crafts and powerful attacks.
Strategy:
- Keep an eye on the Stratos Diver's attacks. Hyperactive Discharge is a nasty one that hits your whole party and can inflict Mute. Make sure to revive any affected allies and remove Mute status immediately.
- Its other main attack, Tetra-Luminous Divider, hits in an arc in front of it. Always be ready to reposition your characters to avoid taking full damage from this.
- If the Stratos Diver activates Twin Blade Cannon, react quickly! Try to use an attack to Impede it, or at the very least, make sure your party is fully healed before it goes off.
- After the battle, you'll receive a Heat Up SR (which restores CP and gives EP+45/STR+12) and a Moon Lens. The Moon Lens is super useful; it lets you see data on enemies you haven't scanned yet and also reveals the locations of chests and other enemies on your map.
