Weynon Priory Under Attack

Alright, so you've closed that Oblivion gate near Kvatch, and now it's time to get Brother Martin to safety at Weynon Priory, which is just southeast of Chorrol. Think of it as a little pit stop before the real trouble starts. As you get close to the priory, the Mythic Dawn cultists are going to show up. Don't be surprised; they're not happy about you protecting the heir. Just fight them off. Once you're inside, head to the Chapel on the right. You'll find Jauffre in a bit of a scuffle with more Mythic Dawn attackers. Help him out! After the dust settles, Jauffre will want to check on the Amulet of Kings, which he hid. Follow him inside, but uh oh – it's gone! This is where things get serious. The Amulet needs to be recovered. Jauffre's next move is to get Martin to Cloud Ruler Temple, which is northwest of Bruma. It's a bit of a journey, but stick with it. When you arrive, ten Blades will be there to greet you and officially declare Martin as Emperor. He'll give a little speech, and then you can chat with Jauffre. Jauffre might offer you a chance to join the Blades. If you accept, you'll get access to a bunch of free stuff in the temple – books, armor, weapons, and some gold. It's a pretty good deal! After that, Jauffre will give you your next quest, 'The Path of Dawn.' Your next stop is to find Baurus in the Imperial City. He might have some information about the Emperor's assassination. Keep your wits about you on the way there! Journal Entries: * 5: Weynon Priory is under attack, and Prior Maborel has been killed. * 7: You're approaching Weynon Priory, and the attack begins. * 10: Weynon Priory is under attack! You need to find and protect Jauffre, and ensure Martin stays safe. * 15: You speak with Brother Piner. * 20: (If you found the secret room) You found Jauffre. The attackers stole the Amulet of Kings from Weynon House, but Martin is safe. * 20: (If you didn't find the secret room) You found Jauffre. He suspects the attackers might have taken the Amulet of Kings from Weynon House. You should check if it's still safe. * 25: (If you found the secret room) The Amulet of Kings was stolen from its hiding place in Weynon Priory. You need to tell Jauffre immediately. * 27: Jauffre reaches the secret room. * 30: You've agreed to take Martin to Cloud Ruler Temple, the Blades' fortress near Bruma. You need to escort Martin and Jauffre there now. * 35: You arrive at Cloud Ruler Temple. * 36: Conversation with Cyrus ends. * 40: Martin moves to the Cloud Ruler Temple courtyard. * 41: Martin reaches his position in front of the Blades at Cloud Ruler Temple. * 42: The Blades hail Martin as Emperor. * 43: Martin gives a speech. * 44: Jauffre dismisses the Blades. * 45: Martin speaks to you. * 50: You've brought Martin and Jauffre safely to Cloud Ruler Temple. * 100: Quest Complete! Potential Bugs to Watch Out For: * Sometimes Jauffre might not offer you the chance to join the Blades. If this happens, you might miss out on becoming a Blade. * Jauffre's horse can be a bit slow. If you ride too fast, Jauffre might get left behind. Reloading an old save or going back to where he disappeared usually fixes this. * After fighting enemies while escorting Martin, Jauffre might not get back on his horse. Try talking to him and exiting the conversation; he should start following you again. Just keep heading towards Bruma.
