So, the Amulet of Kings is gone, taken by the Mythic Dawn during that raid on Weynon Priory. Rough stuff. Jauffre wants you to meet up with Baurus in the Imperial City. He thinks Baurus can help figure out where those cultists took the amulet. Let's get you sorted. ### Objectives 1. Chat with Jauffre about the Amulet of Kings. 2. Find Baurus in the Imperial City. You'll need to help him take down a Mythic Dawn assassin – this will get you a mysterious book. 3. Track down the rest of the Mythic Dawn Commentaries. 4. Book Two is waiting for you at the Arcane University. 5. You can snag Book Three at First Edition. 6. Book Four involves meeting a cultist in the Imperial Sewers, and Baurus will be with you for this. 7. Once you've got all the books, they'll point you to the Mythic Dawn sanctuary. ### Walkthrough First things first, head to Luther Broad's Boarding House to meet Baurus. He's got the inside scoop on tracking the Amulet of Kings. As soon as you meet him, Baurus will get suspicious, thinking someone's tailing him. Keep your eyes peeled and follow Baurus. You'll spot a spy, and you'll need to deal with them. After the dust settles, search the spy's body. You'll find _Mythic Dawn Commentaries 1_. Baurus will then mention Tar-Meena at the Arcane University. She's your next stop for more info on this whole Mythic Dawn cult business. #### Speaking to Tar-Meena This cult's secrets are tied to four commentaries on the _Mysterium Xarxes_, written by Mankar Camoran himself. You need all four copies. Tar-Meena will hand over the second volume, _Mythic Dawn Commentaries 2_. For the third volume, _Mythic Dawn Commentaries 3_, you'll need to visit Phintias at the First Edition bookstore. If you can get his disposition towards you to 80 or higher, you can persuade him to part with his only copy. If that fails, he'll eventually sell it to you for 100 Gold. Keep an eye out for the original buyer, Gwinas. Talk to him about why he's so interested in the cult. Alternatively, you can just wait in the bookstore until Gwinas shows up to claim the book. Follow him outside and chat with him about it. Bring up the "Mythic Dawn" and tell him he's "in way over his head." (You might need to boost his disposition first.) Let him know the cult is responsible for the Emperor's murder. Gwinas will freak out and give you the book, along with a note detailing how to meet "the Sponsor." If you're feeling sneaky, you can always try to steal the book. It's in a chest near Phintias, and it's locked, so bring some lockpicks. And, well, there's a darker option: you could follow Gwinas from the bookstore, wait until he's asleep in his room at the Tiber Septim Hotel, pick the lock, and… well, you know. Then you can take the book and the letter from the Sponsor. The fourth volume, _Mythic Dawn Commentaries 4_, is only obtainable from the meeting with "the Sponsor." #### Meeting with The Sponsor Once you've got the third volume, go back and see Baurus. He'll say something like, _"You not easy to get a hold of"_ – don't worry about it. He wants you to follow him into the sewers. He knows them like the back of his hand and will lead the way to the Elven Gardens District, to a sewer entrance. Quick tip: the journal might say "I should see Baurus first," but you *must* do this. If you head into the Sunken Sewers before seeing Baurus, the Sponsor won't be there, and you'll hit locked gates needing a key. You can still go ahead, clear out any enemies beforehand, then backtrack to meet Baurus. Just be prepared for mud crabs, rats, and goblins in the sewers. Some of those goblins can be tough, especially at lower levels, so try to take them out quickly. Baurus will heal himself before the final room and mention he's going to face the Sponsor alone. Hang back upstairs and wait for him.
