Phases:

1. Guns Down Mode: The Polycarpus moves slowly and primarily uses melee attacks, including a long chain of stabs. You can easily side-step these.
2. Guns Up Mode: When it turns its back, it gains new ranged attacks. It will duck down and shoot three rays (two from guns, one from its mouth), or it will duck low and toss bombs in a random pattern across the arena.

Strategy:

• Focus on hitting the Polycarpus with skills that exploit its Impact and Paralysis weaknesses, like Shockwave Slash and Plasma Shock.
• When it starts its long melee chain attack, just focus on guarding and then side-stepping. It's easy to avoid.
• Watch out for the ranged attacks in its 'Guns Up' phase. The three-ray attack requires you to dodge or block carefully, and the bombs are thrown somewhat randomly, so keep moving.

After you've dealt with the boss, a cutscene will play. Then, you'll use a one-way warp to reach the Untrodden Snowfield, where another scene awaits, followed by a fight.
