Commander Video is unlocked by completing Warp Zone 1-2. His unique ability is a mid-air float, activated by holding the jump button after an initial jump. This allows him to cover extremely long distances horizontally and to precisely control his descent. He cannot wall jump, which is a significant trade-off. Commander Video is invaluable for levels with large horizontal gaps, long stretches of spikes, or areas where precise, slow descent is required. He can often bypass entire sections of levels that are difficult for Meat Boy due to his extended airtime. However, his inability to wall jump makes vertical levels or those requiring rapid ascents much harder or impossible. Choose him for levels where horizontal traversal and controlled falling are paramount.
