Your ultimate guide to conquering World 1 (Grass Land) in Super Mario Bros. 3! Learn strategies for Levels 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3, plus tips for Toad Houses and Fortresses.

Alright, welcome to World One, also known as Grass Land! This is where we get our feet wet in Super Mario Bros. 3. Don't worry, I'll walk you through everything so you can breeze through it.

First off, let's look at the map. You'll see a few key locations marked: S for Start, X for Level locations, F for Fortresses, T for Toad Houses, W for Wandering Hammer Brothers, and C for the Castle. Keep an eye on these as you play.

You'll also find Mushroom Houses scattered around. These are super handy! The first one you'll likely encounter gives you a random item: either a Super Mushroom, a Fire Flower, or a Raccoon Leaf. The second one offers the same random goodies. Don't skip these!

Watch out for the Wandering Hammer Brothers too. One of them in this world has an Invincible Starman, which can be a lifesaver if you grab it at the right time.

Level 1-1 Walkthrough

This first level is a nice nod to the original Super Mario Bros. As soon as you start, you'll see some ? Blocks. Hit the first four to grab some coins and a Super Mushroom. Keep moving right, and you'll run into a Piranha Plant popping out of a pipe – just jump over it.

Next, you'll encounter a Red Koopa Troopa. Stomp it, then kick its shell to the right. This will clear out some enemies and potentially reveal a Power-Up from a ? Block. Now, things get a little different depending on whether you're Super Mario or Raccoon Mario.

Option One: If you're Raccoon Mario

Clear out the Goombas and Para-Goomba ahead. Now, here's a cool trick: run back to the left until you bump into a block. Then, run right again, almost to the cliff edge. If you fly up along the coin trail, you'll find some hidden ledges in the sky! Grab the first three coins, then hit the block to its right. A 1-Up should fall to the left. Grab more coins to your right, then head back left to the edge of this cloud platform. Now, run right and take flight! You'll want to fly until you see a tall green pipe. Land on it and go inside. You'll find a bunch of coins shaped like a '3'. After that, head back outside and go left.

Option Two: If you're Super Mario (or smaller)

Go past the two Goombas and the Para-Goomba. Jump over the gap, and then carefully walk underneath the three Green Paratroopa Koopas floating above. This might seem tricky, but you can actually stomp the Green Koopa Troopa below them to get a Power-Up from the ? Block. After that, hop over the next gap, use the wooden blocks to jump the following gap, and then make your way past the next gap. You'll find a Piranha Plant and a Venus Fire Trap in two pipes here. Just keep going right past them.

Rejoined Path

No matter which path you took, you'll eventually need to stomp the Red Koopa Troopa on the right. Kick its shell to the left to break through some bricks. Walk under the overhanging bricks on the left, and then jump. You should reveal a P-Switch! Stomp it, and watch as the bricks turn into coins. If you want more coins, you can fly up to the pipe high above, go inside, and come back out. This resets the P-Switch and the bricks, letting you collect more coins. Once you've had your fill, head right through the pipe, run to the end, and hit the card slot to finish the level!

Level 1-2 Walkthrough

Start by running up the hill, passing the pipe, and then heading down the hill to meet a Goomba. Hit the ? Block here to get a Power-Up, then hop on top of the block to get onto the 'T' Pipe. In the next valley, there's a spot for the
